Created by Constance M. Burge, the original series Charmed was the 1998 hit supernatural family drama show that was considered the predecessor of shows like Ghost Whisperer and Supernatural. The show stars Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty, and Alyssa Milano. Charmed, from the original network of The WB, aired on TV from 1998 to 2006, collecting a solid fanbase because of its story.
This show follows the three sisters, who after the tragic death of their mother, discover that they are descendants of a line of witches. The sisters discover that their purpose is to fight off evil forces, combining their strong witchcraft powers. The trio of sisters face a lot of problems with maintaining relations by hiding their supernatural sides from their personal sides.
Charmed received a lot of attention when its pilot episode aired on television, getting 7.7 million views. This episode broke the network’s record and earned the title of receiving the highest number of views on a debut. The success of the show led to it being adapted by several other platforms. The Charmed comic book series served as an extension to the show, continuing the storyline. The series also was adapted into board games, novels, and video games. 6 Seven Year Witch (Season 7, Episode 16)

This episode from season seven holds a special place in the hearts of viewers who were die-hard fans of Cole Turner (Julian McMahon). His character makes a return in this episode years after his death to help Piper navigate out of limbo. Cole’s character had an evil turn, but had a sad ending as he was killed by his wife. Enough though his character turned sinister towards the end; it did not stop him from being the fan favorite. Fans loved the twist of him helping Piper out, which got some redemption for his character. In this final act of kindness, he also got to show the viewers how his love for Phoebe was eternal.

5 The Painted World (Season 2, Episode 3)
This episode centered around Phoebe and her greatness and wit. “The Painted World” follows the story of Prue getting sucked into an ancient painting that transports her to another dimension. This whole idea, at the time the show was released, was surreal and totally blew the viewers minds. “The Painted World” also shows Phoebe’s intelligence of using the perfect spell and reciting Latin perfectly to get Prue out of the painting. She challenges the warlock who plans to destroy the painting while Prue is still stuck in it. Phoebe emerges as the hero in the end by reversing the spell of impending doom on her sister’s life.
4 All Halliwell’s Eve (Season 3, Episode 4)
“All Halliwell’s Eve” is an interesting episode that features time travel. The episode follows the story of the trio traveling back in time to help an old coven of witches in Virginia and having to make a choice that could complicate their futures. This episode had a lot of excitement and thrills because of the Halloween theme. They aid in the birth of a baby whose choice of being on the side of good or evil could change the whole course of history. It could even result in the trio not being good witches, which kept all viewers at the edge of their seats. This episode is also special as the trio taps into forgotten forms of witchcraft, which further expand their powers.
3 Chris-Crossed (Season 6, Episode 10)
Fans of Chris Halliwell (Drew Fuller) could finally see their favorite return on-screen and get the redemption and credit for all the sacrifices that he did make. Chris, in this episode, comes back into the future, into the world of the Charmed One’s to overwrite a horrible future. The future that Chris reveals crucial details to the trio, and to fight Wyatt. This was the biggest plot twist of the series, as nobody had expected Wyatt to be the big bad guy in the future. Additionally, Chris traveling back in time was interesting, as it proved he was part-witch and part-Whitelighter. “Chris-Crossed” was the perfect episode to let Chris’ character shine and the trio learn new things of significant importance for the future.
2 Death Takes a Halliwell (Season 3, Episode 16)
Season three, episode 16 was one of the most emotional episodes of the series. It featured the unexpected encounter of Prue with Death, because Dorhety had left the show. Prue, however, got a very wholesome yet sad ending for her character. Prue faces an encounter with the Angel of Death and must reconsider not using her powers to avoid it, because it cannot be avoided. She is also tired of losing battles to save innocent souls around her and realizes she does not have the power to stop death. She measures the impact it would have on her sisters and reconciles with the death of her mother. Emotions ran high in the viewers as Prue had to face these inner demons.
1 Something Wicca This Way Comes (Season 1, Episode 1)

The pilot episode of the series is one of the best episodes of the whole show. The suspense, thrills, and excitement that all the viewers went through, along with the introduction of the Halliwell sisters can never be forgotten. The episode, set in misty San Francisco, features an introduction into the normal life of the sisters, when suddenly, they start experiencing supernatural occurrences. The first episode showed more than just an introduction, though. It set the premise for the relationship between the three sisters. From the pilot episode onwards, viewers get to see a beautiful growth in the relationship of all three sisters and their strong bond forming through witchcraft. Most importantly, the pilot episode revealed the family book of magic, The Book of Shadows. A show like this was a new idea, and the female leads made it even more exciting to watch. The pilot’s story built things up perfectly for the rest of the season, making it one of the best.
