A brand new photo for the upcoming film Jurassic World: Dominion was recently revealed by EW. The latest photo for the highly anticipated film shows Chris Pratt’s character taming a dinosaur in a snowy environment. This new photo arrives just a week after another photo was revealed showing Bryce Dallas Howard’s character trying to keep her head above a algae-topped body of water. You can check out the latest photo of Chris Pratt’s Owen Gray from Jurassic World Dominion below.

It has been revealed that the recently released photo above will actually take place at the start of the film. Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Claire Dearing are attempting to save a parasaurs in the Sierra Nevadas. “He’s not too far from where the dinosaurs got out in the last film,” says filmmaker and co-writer Colin Trevorrow. “The parasaurs are in danger of being poached. There’s a lot of shady types out there who want to get their hands on dinosaurs, so he’s working to protect them.”

At the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, all of the dinosaurs were let loose into the world outside of the original theme park. Jurassic World: Dominion, which is the sixth entry in the Jurassic Park franchise, will take place four years after the previous film. This time jump in the upcoming film has now given the dinosaurs enough time to have found a way to spread around the globe. While most plot details have been kept under wraps, early looks at the upcoming film included a prologue-style trailer, along with a preview of the tyrannosaurs rex interrupting viewers at a drive-in movie theater.

“They have been multiplying and living amongst us and clashing with us,” says Colin Trevorrow, who directed 2015’s Jurassic World. The other Jurassic Park movies “pretty much have the same story,” he adds. “But Dominion is set all over the world, through many different environments: wilderness, urban, desert, snow. It’s exciting to see these creatures navigate environments that they weren’t built to survive in. They grew up in a theme park and now they’re here!”

Colin Trevorrow was also reluctant to give any further information about where we will find Claire Dearing. “I don’t want to say just yet,” he explains. “But she’s at a point where she’s questioning her methods, and whether she can stay safe and fulfill the responsibility that she has to the other people in her life that care about her.” He also revealed that both Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will continue to share plenty of screen time together. “They have equal screen time to Chris and Bryce,” Trevorrow reveals of the scientist trio. “They’re major characters from start to finish.”

The director of the upcoming film describes Jurassic World Dominion as more of a “science thriller” than the horror-flavored, J.A. Bayona-directed in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, while also strongly hinting that the movie’s big bad will be Campbell Scott’s Lewis Dodgson. “He is the main villain throughout both of [Crichton’s] novels, and I think what Campbell’s done with the character is just amazing,” he says. “I can’t wait for people to see it.”

The Jurassic Park franchise came roaring back to the big screen back in 2015 starting with Jurassic World, a sequel that grossed more than $1.6 billion. This was then followed by its 2018 sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which grossed a massive $1.2 billion. The upcoming sixth film will feature Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters, in addition to the main original Jurassic Park characters including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will be reprising their roles from the original film. Jurassic World Dominion is currently set to be released in theaters on June 10 2022.
