Straight from her appearance in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday, Christina Ricci will next take on the role of one of pop culture’s most popular characters. Per Variety, she’ll be providing the voice of Harley Quinn in a new audio series for Spotify. The project, dubbed Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mind, also features the voice of Billy Magnussen (Made for Love, No Time to Die) as the Clown Prince of Crime alongside Ricci’s Dr. Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn. The Spotify Original will debut with all episodes available to listen to on Jan. 31, 2023.
Alongside Ricci and Magnussen, Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mound also features the voices of Justin Hartley (This Is Us) as Bruce Wayne/Batman; Amy Sedaris (The Mandalorian) as Harleen’s Aunt Rose; Andre Royo (Empire) as Arnold Wesker, aka The Ventriloquist; Stephen Root (Barry) as Harleen’s boss, Grunfeld; Fred Melamed (WandaVision) as Harleen’s co-worker bob; Mary Holland (Senior Year) as Margaret Pye, aka Magpie; and Elias Koteas (Goliath) as Harleen’s father, Nicky Quinzel.

There’s a lot of Harley Quinn content that’s ono the way. This is just the newest project to feature Harley Quinn after the character has appeared in several movies on the big screen with Margot Robbie in the role. Currently, a Joker sequel is in development that will introduce Lady Gaga as the Batman antagonist alongside Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. The fourth season of the adult animated series Harley Quinn, which features Kaley Cuoco as the voice of Harley, is also coming to HBO Max later this year.
As for Ricci, who rose to fame as a former child star, is well-known for playing Wednesday Addams in two Addams Family movies in the 1990s, she recently she appeared in Netflix’s reboot Wednesday which features Jenna Ortega taking over the role. Ricci has also recently impressed fans and critics with her performance in Showtime’s hit show Yellowjackets. The actress, who also appeared in 2021’s The Matrix Resurrections, will be back in the upcoming second season of Yellowjackets as well.
