MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
The show is known for being lovable and authentic. Although the appeal is slightly different from what Clarkson used to offer on Top Gear, most of his viewers are just excited to see him back. The farming business has not come easy to Mr. Clarkson, as he applies his vast automobile knowledge to the world of agriculture. But the endearing part of the show is watching him do his best while his friends and family hold him up. The viewers do their best to support the farm with lines down the road for Diddly Squat Farm’s tiny farm shop. As Clarkson’s Farm becomes more popular, no one can wait for season 2, but the farm must wait for the seasons.
Life on Diddly Squat Farm
Prime Video
Clarkson’s Farm will forever follow Jeremy Clarkson’s foray into the farming business on his burgeoning Diddly Squat Farm. Although the farm didn’t do so well last year, that’s to be expected with any new business finding its feet. Now with a year’s experience under his belt, Clarkson will return to the fields in his absurdly gigantic Lamborghini tractor to battle the elements and sweet-talk mother nature into giving his farm a chance at success.
All of his fans are certain to give him a helping hand as Diddly Squat’s farm shop and café stay open. Fans will remember in the previous season, Clarkson and Hogan were expecting very little traffic at their tiny market due to its remote location. But fans lined up for miles and fully cleaned out the store for a chance to shop there. The unprecedented success of the show definitely had something to do with it. Hopefully, it will continue to give Clarkson a leg up on his farming business.
We’ll see if that popularity boosts the crops in season 2.
The Cast
Just as last season, the cast will comprise all those working on Clarkson’s actual Farm. Charlie Ireland will be back as he attempts to manage the wild budgetary and legal problems of the farm that are often created by Clarkson himself. Lisa Hogan will return to run the farm’s little shop and give Clarkson vindictive looks from across the room.
Kaleb will definitely be back. How could the farm run without him? The brave farmhand came on to assist Clarkson in his foray into farming. He had never been on TV. He had never even been out of his small village in the Cotswolds. But the lad grew to be a fan favorite as we watched him teach Clarkson how to farm and pretty much do most of the work along the way. Dan Grabiner had this to say about Kaleb to Variety:
Dubbed “the real hero of Clarkson’s Farm,” the small-town laborer now has a dedicated following of TV show fans and a book coming out later this year. He’s also been nominated for the National Television Award for Most Popular TV Expert on British television, which airs on September 15, 2022. He’s up against David Attenborough for the trophy.
We will also be seeing more of the ever-loquacious Gerald. Fans will recall Gerald dictating copious amounts of agricultural wisdom to Clarkson in a thick West Country accent that must actually be some kind of code only experienced farmers can understand. But Grabiner assures us, “You can understand a little bit more of Gerald this time. I think maybe every season, you’ll understand a few more words of Gerald.”
