They’re back at it in season 4, having already revealed that Thomas Ian Griffith returns as Terry Silver. The antagonistic fighter, previously seen in The Karate Kid Part III, is expected to play a big part in the upcoming season. Griffith has also explained how stoked he was to revisit the role in an interview with Heavy.
“When the guys called about Cobra Kai saying they’re bringing back Terry Silver, it was like– at first it was like well, what’s Terry Silver been up to for the last 30 years. And then when they mapped out their plan it was like oh my god I can not say no to that, that sounds incredible. So I jumped on it,” Griffith said. “There’s such good, playable stuff, stuff that can be — that can get into your gut that I really responded to and that’s the journey that I went on with these guys and trusted them and so happy I did.”
The first three seasons of Sony Pictures Television’s Cobra Kai are now streaming on Netflix with season 4 premiering on December 31, 2021. Season 5 is also already in production.
