Despite the many movie genres to explore, there is always something newer that centers on the notion of warfare with the Nazis. Films like these provide viewers with a greater perspective on the lives of soldiers as well as a better picture of history. While Overlord depicted Nazi human experimentation that transformed ordinary soldiers into unstoppable zombies, Christopher Nolan’s film Dunkirk chronicled the story of a lone survivor during the Battle of France. This time, MBG Films and Lost Galleon Films have collaborated to bring a fascinating war thriller with a focus on revenge to theaters.

Condor’s Nest is an upcoming action thriller starring Arnold Vosloo, Michael Ironside, and Jacob Keohane, set during the fall of Nazi Germany. With an interesting post-war setting, the film looks incredibly intriguing and raises the stakes for a war cinephile. Since 2023 has yet to witness some decent World War II films, let it begin with Condor’s Nest. Here’s everything we know so far about the movie.

Condor’s Nest: The Plot

According to the Condor Nest’s official trailer, the story follows a war veteran named Will Spalding, who lands 40 miles away from the German Protection Squad after the Nazis occupied France upon winning the war. When Nazi Colonel Martin Bach discovers his bomber crew, he interrogates them, and when no one answers, he kills the entire crew, leaving Will alone.

Will Spalding sets off ten years later on a crusade to exact vengeance on the Colonel, who resides in the Nazi headquarters known as the Condor’s Nest, which holds secrets to something far greater than he bargained for. Is revenge really worth it when it only amounts to destruction? And what happened during the ten years he spent destroying everything that stood in his way of retribution?

While we elaborated on the plot based on the trailer, the official Condor’s Nest synopsis reads as follows.

Condor’s Nest: The Cast & Crew

     Saban Films

Jacob Keohane, an experienced actor who is recognized as Silas Meeks in Point Man, Brandon in Love on the Rise, and Deputy Tobias in Halloween Kills, plays the lead role of Will Spalding, going toe-to-toe with the Nazi Colonel. This will be his second collaboration with filmmaker Blattenberger, having previously collaborated on Point Man.

American war veteran Will Spalding (Jacob Keohane) has tracked the sadistic Nazi Colonel who executed his bomber crew during WWII to a remote location in South America. But he is in for more than he bargained for when he uncovers a secret Nazi headquarters known as the Condor’s Nest.

On the other hand, Arnold Vosloo plays Colonel Martin Bach, whose ruthless execution of soldiers sends Will on a quest for vengeance. Vosloo is a well-known South African actor who won the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Villain for The Mummy in 2000. Fans have also seen him in movies and television shows such as Ludik, The Mummy Returns, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and Blood Diamond. In addition, he also played leading roles in Savages, Twelfth Night, and Hamlet.

The rest of the cast also looks quite promising as Corinne Britti was chosen to play the main female lead, supporting Jacob on his mission as well as a possible love interest. She is an award-winning actress and writer who made her big-screen debut in 2018 with the film Route 80 and has since played unique roles such as Jemma in Soon by You and Autumn Reese in Take Care of Emily.

In addition to the cast members mentioned above, who appear to be the main focus of the story, here’s a look at the supporting cast: Michael Ironside, Adrienne McQueen, Jackson Rathbone, Bruce Davison, Jorge Garcia, James Urbaniak, Jamie Roy, Al Pagano, and many more. The film is written and directed by Phil Blattenberger, a rookie in the directorial role, but he demonstrated his talents in the industry with Point Man in 2018, serving as the director, writer, and producer. Surprisingly, his debut film was awarded Best Film at the Sydney Indie Film Festival, and he was nominated for two additional awards in the screenplay and director categories.

Meanwhile, the film’s music is composed by Christof Unterberger, who has previously worked on Iceman, Phantom, The Strange Case of Wilhelm Rich, and Storm of Love. The series is produced by Jacob Keohane, the film’s leading actor, along with the director Phil Blattenberger and Dan Black.
