It is stated in the official description of the show that the series will begin one week after Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash defeated the Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh). In parallel, Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) are reconnecting and growing closer. However, there is a deadly new adversary that stands to challenge Barry’s heroic legacy in the upcoming episodes. Once again, the heroes must join their forces against a dangerous new threat leading a deadly gang of rogues in Central City. Among the familiar characters of The Flash’s team joining the final season are Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton), Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight), and Mark Blaine (Jon Cor).
Trying to save Central City one more time, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits in their greatest battle yet. Brad Schwartz, CW President, believes that the ending of The Flash should be remembered as one of The CW’s greatest shows, and a very proud moment for all those involved.
“The team has delivered an epic final season, filled with plenty of twists, guest stars, and surprises that will delight every fan. Now is the time to catch up and enjoy this fantastic final ride alongside the fastest man alive.”
