Daniel Stern Is a Veteran Actor
Daniel Stern is a veteran actor with dozens of roles under his belt, but he is particularly well remembered for his role as bandit Marv Murchins in Home Alone and its sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Back in 2015, Stern reprised that role in a way by appearing as Marv in a homemade video in response to Macaulay Culkin playing a grown-up Kevin McCallister in a separate viral video. Stern created his video in conjunction with Christmas Eve, the perfect time to reprise that role.
“They were all a ton of fun,” Stern said of his Home Alone scenes in a Reddit AMA. “My favorite was having the tarantula crawl on my face. Not only was it really fun and funny to do but it was a personal challenge to overcome my fear of having something that icky and deadly crawling on my face. It was even freakier because I had to do that scream, which meant my mouth was wide open too - and I was afraid the little bastard might take a detour down my throat!”
Stern is also known for appearing in the City Slickers movies, as well as other films like Blue Thunder, Coupe de Ville, and Very Bad Things. In more recent years, he has appeared in films like A Christmas Story 2, Game Over, Man!, and James vs. His Future Self. He has also appeared on TV shows like Manhattan, Shrill, and Love.
