Ahsoka Tano has been an essential character in the Star Wars universe since she arrived in the 2008 theatrical animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She was introduced as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, with the two sharing a close bond throughout The Clone Wars series despite not having any canon appearance in the prequel trilogy.
Ahsoka then made her way to Star Wars: Rebels in 2014, confirming to audiences that the character survived the original trilogy timeline. Disney has been eager to feature more of her character, which we saw with Rosario Dawson in The Mandalorian Season 2, and The Book of Boba Fett.
