The cast has also now been confirmed, with Dune: Part Two boasting an even more impressive ensemble than even the first outing. The tale of Dune: Part Two will once again be led by Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, the duke of House Atreides and the young man who is called the messianic “Muad’Dib” by the Fremen. Chalamet will be supported by Zendaya as Chani, the mysterious young Fremen woman who becomes Paul’s love interest, with the character expected to have a much bigger role this time around.

The supporting cast for Dune: Part Two includes Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica Atreides, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat.

It has also now been officially confirmed (though we were pretty confident anyway) that Dune: Part Two will add several A-list names to the already stacked roster. Hollywood legend Christopher Walken will join the world of Dune as Shaddam IV, the Emperor of House Corrino, with Midsommar and Black Widow star Florence Pugh set to star as his daughter, Princess Irulan.

Elvis actor Austin Butler will enter the fray as fan-favorite character Feyd-Rautha, the mighty warrior, successor on Arrakis, and nephew of Baron Harkonnen, while No Time to Die star Léa Seydoux will star in the sequel as Lady Margot.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay by Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, and Eric Roth, Dune: Part Two will adapt the second half of the seminal novel by Frank Herbert and is set to be released in theaters on November 17, 2023.
