Following yesterday’s release of the first trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, a new poster and official synopsis have arrived to give us even further insight into the upcoming adaptation of the iconic table-top role-playing game. The poster, which comes courtesy of Paramount Pictures, shows off the main players as simple silhouettes. Silhouettes stand below a magnificent golden dragon. As for the official synopsis, it further reveals more of what audiences can expect when Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters early next year.

Described as a fantasy action-adventure comedy, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is co-written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, a filmmaking duo most famous for Game Night, and stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant.

Thanks to the release of the first trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which premiered as part of the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con, we now have a much better idea of what to expect from Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. As well as details on which characters the cast will be playing in the highly anticipated adaptation.
Leading an ensemble cast of characters, Chris Pine stars as Elgin, a Bard and will be supported on this epic quest by the likes of Michelle Rodriguez as Holga, a Barbarian; Regé-Jean Page as Xenk, a Paladin; Justice Smith as Simon, a Sorcerer; Sophia Lillis as Doric, a thieving Druid; and Hugh Grant as Forge Fletcher, a Rogue. The rest of the supporting cast includes Chloe ColemanJason Wong, and Daisy Head.
The footage has also revealed some of the settings and creatures that will feature in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Many of which will be familiar to fans of the beloved game. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will take place across the Forgotten Realms, which includes such fantastical places as Neverwinter, Icewind Dale, Waterdeep, and more. Several monsters will also appear, including red and black dragons, mimics, Red Wizards, and even the dreaded Gelatinous cube.
A live-action take on the vast world of Dungeons and Dragons has been in the works for some time, so here’s hoping that Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves can find the right balance between its action and adventure tone and appeal to super fans of the game itself.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 3, 2023, by Paramount Pictures.
