Dwayne Johnson makes an impact in any movie he appears in, and the first reviews of Black Adam suggest that he is now doing it all over again as part of the DCEU. Discover franchise as a whole. When asked whether he would be heading up the DCEU’s future, the former wrestler paused, then said:
“You’re very kind to ask that question. I think the best position that I could be for DC is one as advisor where I can help and I can help greatly. I loved DC to my blood as a little boy, I grew up loving the Super friends, specifically Superman. I saw my first Black Adam comic, and it was arresting to me. His face was intense, he looked cool, looked different, badass, and had brown skin so automatically I was relating to him. So I am DC through and through and in the spirit of growing out the DC Universe, I’m here to help in any way I can, including looking for and finding that right leader or leaders.”

Warner Bros. Pictures
The DCEU’s problems have been many in the last several years, with disjointed storytelling, abandoned projects, director issues, and more. Black Adam opens in cinemas on October 21.
“That’s a great question because you have an opportunity now to introduce a new IP to the world and then a new group IP in the JSA. It was also important [that] if we’re going to make a movie, I think that it’s got to be disruptive. That’s going to be cool. That’s going to be provoking in your thoughts. We want to take care of the action enthusiast. We want to take care of the comic book enthusiast. We want to take care of the superhero genre enthusiast, the super-fans, but also, if you want to go a little deeper philosophically with how things are around the world currently, then there’s a bit of that in Black Adam for you, too.”
