Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has long been rumored to make a presidential run in 2024, with the actor saying it could be a possibility on multiple occasions. Johnson effortlessly transitioned from his wrestling career to the big screen over 20 years ago when he appeared in The Mummy Returns before capturing a leading role in The Scorpion King.

His movies have collectively grossed over $3.5 billion in North America, accounting for a massive $10.5 billion worldwide. His box office draw has led to Johnson being one of the most successful actors in Hollywood, starring in the biggest blockbusters releasing today. Fans wouldn’t be surprised by a successful presidential campaign from the 50-year-old actor. However, Johnson tells CBS Sunday Morning that his future in politics is “off the table.”

Dwayne Johnson has appeared in nearly every entertainment medium possible. He’s starred in big-time action movies such as The Fast and the Furious franchise, performed voice acting in Moana, and appeared in video games with Fortnite. His NBC series, Young Rock, takes a deeper look at the star’s life as he grows up, with different actors portraying various points in his life until they catch up to the present day.

His next role is in Black Adam, where he will star as the titular anti-hero. Warner Bros. Discovery has a lot riding on the project, as the film hopes to expand the DC universe by introducing new characters, with Johnson at the center. Pierce Brosnan plays Dr. Fate, Aldis Hodge is Hawkman, with Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher. Viola Davis will reprise her role as Amanda Waller in the movie. Fans can check out Dwayne Johnson on the big screen instead of a campaign run when Black Adam releases in theaters on Oct. 21.
