Luke Evans Loves a Good Action Role
Apple TV+
The casting choices for Echo 3 seem phenomenal, as Luke Evans is no stranger to a good action project. The actor appeared as Apollo in the Clash of the Titans remake in 2010 before he starred in Immortals, The Raven, and The Three Musketeers. In 2013, Evans moved to massive Hollywood blockbusters with his first appearance as Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6, a role he would reprise for Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious.
Evans starred as Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy, broadening his audience even further. His Echo 3 co-star, Michiel Huisman, would also appear in a medieval-style series, with a recurring role in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Huisman played Daario Naharis from 2014-2016, starring alongside Emilia Clarke for much of his time on the show.
Echo 3 will be a reunion between Jessica Ann Collins and Mark Boal, as she starred in Zero Dark Thirty as Debbie. The actress has also appeared in Revolution, Person of interest, and Free State of Jones. Fans can see the trio of actors, along with the script penned by Boal, when Echo 3 arrives on AppleTV+ on Nov. 23.
