The untitled sequel series to The Santa Clause movies in the works at Disney+ has just expanded its cast. Deadline reports that among the new cast members is Tim Allen’s daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick, who makes her acting debut with the new series. She’ll be starring opposite her father, who’s back in the role of Scott Calvin/Santa Claus alongside returning series star Elizabeth Mitchell. Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar series) has also joined the cast recently with other new additions including Austin Kane, Rupali Redd, and Devin Bright.
“Our entire family is delighted for her,” Allen said of his daughter’s acting debut.

Per Deadline, Allen-Dick will be playing Sandra, the youngest child of Scott (Allen) and Carol (Mitchell). She is described as “a bit rough and tumble” and “has a passionate sense of right and wrong, and a strong connection to animals, mostly because there are no humans her age at the North Pole, which makes her lonely.” Kane co-stars as her brother Cal, the older son of Scott and Carol. Cal “lacks drive and focus, isn’t sure what he wants but knows it’s not at the North Pole, and appears ill-equipped to survive in either world, although that might be slowly changing.”
Redd plays sweet, loving, and kind Grade, the “angelic daughter of game inventor and product developer, Simon Choksi (Penn). Her wide-eyed belief in Santa, and her love for all things Christmas, could melt the heart of even the biggest non-believer.” Rounding out the new cast is Bright as Noel, Santa’s trusted right-hand elf. The optimistic and energectic elf “perceives himself as Santa’s best friend.”
This is Allen-Dick’s debut, but her fellow newcomers to the cast can be recognized from other roles. Kane previously appeared on Two and a Half Men as well as shows like Criminal Minds, Lethal Weapon, and Henry Danger. Redd, the daughter of actor Rupak Ginn and author Nancy Redd, appeared in the Hulu series Bear Girl, while Bright’s credits include The Unicorn, Hap and Leonard, and Woodlawn.
The Santa Clause Sequel Series Brings Back Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell
Disney
The Santa Clause sequel series reunites Allen with Last Man Standing creator Jack Burditt, who serves as the showrunner. Jason Winer and Jon Radler are executive producing via Small Dog Picture alongside Burditt and Allen, as well as Kevin Hench, Richard Baker, and Rick Messina. The project is a 20th Television production, a part of Disney Television Studios.
The first installment of the original movie trilogy was released in 1994. Starring Tim Allen, it follows a man who becomes Santa Claus after inadvertently knocking the previous Saint Nick off of the roof. The hit film inspired two sequels to be made, with The Santa Clause arriving in 2002, followed by The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause in 2006. It had appeared that the franchise was long over as the years went on, though it was recently announced that Allen would be back as Scott Calvin once again for the series.
The Santa Clause sequel series doesn’t yet have its release date set for Disney+.
