Bonjour Emily in Paris fans, our stylish blogger is returning to Netflix this winter. Netflix officially dropped a teaser trailer for season three of Emily in Paris back in September during their Tudum event while revealing the release date. The romantic-comedy series, created by Darren Star, first debuted in October 2022 to immediate popularity. Emily in Paris was in the top ten most-watched series on its release and again when season two was released in December 2021. After the success of the second season, Netflix renewed Emily in Paris for a third and fourth season.
Emily in Paris stars Lily Collins in the main role as a college graduate who, from Chicago, moves to Paris for a job opportunity as an aspiring marketing executive for the French marketing Savoir. As Emily navigates her new role at her new job, she also navigates the different cultures as well as her love life.

In season two, we saw Emily in a complicated love triangle. She begins with Gabriel, her downstairs neighbor and a head chef who is introduced in season one and happens to have a girlfriend, Camille, who also turns into Emily’s friend. During the second season, we are introduced to Alfie, an English banker whom Emily meets in French class and becomes romantically involved with after she ends things with Gabriel.
As the season progress, we see Emily making better connections with work. However, in the season finale, the marketing team of Savoir, led by Emily’s boss, Sylvie, unexpectedly quit with plans to open her own marketing firm in Paris and invites Emily to join the team. She also has Alfie leaving Paris to go back to London, leaving Emily in a long-distance relationship while she professes her love for Gabriel. In the finale, however, we learn Gabriel is back with Camille, and we’re left with a cliffhanger as Emily decides if she will stay in Paris.

The upcoming season almost guarantees to answer both of Emily’s cliffhangers of who she will pursue with her love life, Gabriel or Alfie? And will Emily decide to stay in her current position at Savoir or move on to Sylvie’s new firm?
Emily in Paris: The Cast

This upcoming season of Emily in Paris will see some returning characters as well as new faces. First, the main character, Emily, is played by Lily Collins. Along with starring in the titular role, Collins is also a producer since season one. Her role in season one landed Collins her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in Television-Comedy.
Supporting characters that are returning is aspiring singer Mindy, Emily’s first friend in Paris, played by Ashley Park. We last see Mindy as a lead singer in a band that plays on the streets of Paris while also starting a romantic relationship with a member of her band, Benoît.
Other returning characters from the previous season include Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Emily’s boss at Savoir until she quit. She is starting her own marketing firm in Paris and has a like/hate relationship with Emily. The other former Savoir employees joining Sylvie’s new firm are Julien and Luc, played by Samuel Arnold and Bruno Gouery, respectively.
Now for Emily’s love interest. Both Gabriel and Alfie will be returning in season three. Gabriel, played by series regular since season one French actor Lucas Bravo, and Alfie, who is played by Lucien Laviscount, who began as a recurring character in season two but will be bumped up to series regular in season three. Camille Razat will also return as Gabriel’s girlfriend, Camille.
In addition to these returning characters in Emily in Paris, viewers will also see a new cast, characters, and love interests, Paul Forman and Melia Kreiling, who will play Nicolas de Leon and Sofia Sideris, respectively. It’ll be exciting to see how these two get involved this upcoming season.
Release Date
Season three of Emily in Paris will return on December 21, 2022, only on Netflix. In the meantime, seasons one and two are available to binge before the upcoming season.
