We can count on another familiar face from WandaVision appearing alongside Kathryn Hahn in the upcoming spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Originally announced as Agatha: House of Harkness, the series takes the WandaVision antagonist and shifts her into the lead role. The series has been described as a “dark comedy” with Jac Schaeffer also returning as writer and executive producer. Nothing has yet been revealed about the plot, but in a new interview with Vanity Fair, Emma Caulfield Ford confirms that she’ll be back as Dottie in the spinoff, though she can’t offer any additional details beyond her involvement.

“That is super fun,” Ford said of her Agatha: Coven of Chaos casting, teasing other projects she has in the works as well. “There’s a couple of things actually. There’s another thing which I also can’t really say.”
WandaVision star Elizabeth Olsen has since returned as Scarlet Witch in the hit film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While an appearance in Agatha: Coven of Chaos seems natural given her character’s relationship with Agatha, Olsen has suggested that she will not be involved with the spinoff. People may question that up until its release, as it’s always possible Olsen is trying to avoid spoiling any surprises, but she stated on Good Morning America that she wasn’t involved with any plans for the spinoff.
“There is no plan and I’m serious. I’m not a good liar. I wish I had a plan, and I’m not sure,” Olsen said.

Given the character’s popularity, it was not a big shock when it was announced that Agatha Harkness would get her own WandaVision spinoff series. In an interview onThe Drew Barrymore Show, Hahn spoke about how excited she was to reprise that role for the series, though she could not divulge any plot details.
“Immediately you think of a woman who is loud, who is mysterious, who is dangerous because she’s complicated and she’s misunderstood,” Hahn said of Agatha to Barrymore. “And all that stuff is a real turn on to me as a performer in terms of digging into this person a little bit more. Very excited.”
On the rumors of Mephisto showing up in Coven of Chaos, Hahn added, “I keep hearing that. I have no idea! Who knows. Probably anything is probably possible, but I have never heard anything definitive about that at all.”
Agatha: Coven of Chaos will arrive on Disney+ in Winter 2023.
