Netflix’s reveal of the trailer for Millie Bobby Brown-led Enola Holmes 2 has seen the internet come out in force …to celebrate Henry Cavill. The Witcher and Man of Steel star appears as Sherlock Holmes in the adaptation of the Enola Holmes book series, and while his character only made a brief appearance in the original movie, fans have made it clear that they love his take on the iconic sleuth and can’t wait to see more.
Although this is distracting, in that the original movie is not a Sherlock adventure but one that centers on his younger sister Enola, who is very capable in the family business, it will certainly help the movie’s viewership when the second movie arrives as this time around it looks like Cavill will have a larger role. According to the Twitter post unveiling the trailer, Netflix said:
The first movie was a decent hit for Netflix, and the combined pulling power of Stranger Things star Brown and the even popular Cavill is an offer that many will not be able to refuse. When it comes to fans of the latter, there is certainly plenty of love for his version of the famous half of the Holmes crime-fighting machine.
“Adventure strikes again! Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, and Helena Bonham Carter return in Enola Holmes 2 – where a mystery of historic proportions requires 2 Holmes to handle.”
Millie Bobby Brown Has Called Enola Holmes Her ‘Most Important Moment’
Netflix
While there are plenty of people who instantly think of Stranger Things when the name Mille Bobby Brown is mentioned, with the young actress having played central character Eleven throughout the show, Brown herself has said that for her, the role of Enola Holmes is possibly the biggest and most important of her career because she was part of the development process. she previously said:
When it comes to the success of Enola Holmes, Brown also commented on the chemistry she shares on screen with co-star Cavill, which she said was just like working with her actual older brother. She added:
“[Enola Holmes] may be the most important moment in my career so far, because it’s something that I developed. It’s rewarding. Obviously, it can be tiring, and when you look back on it, you’re like, ‘Gosh, I can’t believe I didn’t fall asleep.’ But there were so many things that I got to be a part of, and I really was grateful for that. My age and gender has never defined [my job], so everyone on set really respected me and heard me. It was such a nice environment to be able to experience.”
Enola Holmes 2 will arrive on Netflix on November 4.
“Despite our humongous age difference - and he’s going to hate that I said that - Henry and I had such a great chemistry on set. Being able to play his younger sister, it’s quite easy. I have an older brother, and I know how easy it is to annoy him, get on his nerves, make him laugh. I know his weaknesses. I know his strengths. I basically just use that with my brother, so I actually used that on Henry, too.”
