Netflix has dropped the first trailer for musician and actor Kid Cudi’s upcoming adult animated series Entergalactic during their Geeked Week. The minute teaser also features an impressive cast list that includes Jessica Williams (Love Life), Timothée Chalamet (Dune), musician Ty Dolla $ign, and Vanessa Hudgens (The Princess Switch). The series will accompany Cudi’s album of the same name.
The first look trailer features Cudi’s Do What I Want which will be included in his upcoming Enetergalactic album. Although a release date for the album has not been announced, the single is expected to drop this Friday. The series will rely on art, music and fashion to illustrate the blossoming love story between Jabari (voiced by Cudi/Scott Mescudi), a young artist living in New York City, and his cool-girl neighbor photographer Meadow (voiced by Williams).

Entergalactic is created by Cudi and Ian Edelman. The two serve as co-executive producers alongside black-ish creator Kenya Barris, Fletcher Moules, and Maurice Williams. Cudi and Edelman collaborated in 2010 on HBO’s How To Make It in America.
Cudi has been vocal about his enthusiasm for the upcoming series and accompanying album, coining it “the greatest piece of art” he’s ever created. Entergalactic was scheduled as the follow-up to Cudi’s 2016 release Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ but was delayed so he could complete Man on the Moon III: The Chosen.
Entergalactic’s Cast and Characters
The Entergalcatic trailer provides audiences with the series’ impressive voice cast list. Cudi, Williams, Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, and Hudgens are joined by Laura Harrier (BlacKkKlansman), Christopher Abbott (Kraven the Hunter), rapper and singer 070 Shake, Teyana Taylor (Coming 2 America), Jaden Smith (After Earth), Keith David (From Scratch), Arturo Castro (Broad City) and Macaulay Culkin (American Horror Story).
Cudi and Williams will star as Jabari and Meadows, and a list of characters, and who will voice them has also been announced: Chalamet voices Jabari’s best friend Jimmy, a weed dealer that’s shifting his focus to crypto; Ty Dolla $ign voices Jabari’s supportive friend Ky; Harrier is Carmen, Jabari’s stylish ex-girlfriend; and Hudgens is Karina, Meadow’s trustworthy and pregnant best friend.
The cast is rounded out by Abbott as art dealer Reed, 070 Shake as sculptor Nadia, Smith as BMX superstar Jordan, Taylor as a boxing coach, Castro as Len, Jabari’s co-worker, and Culkin as the wise delinquent Downtown Pat. Mr. Rager, Jabari’s superhero creation, is voiced by David.
