The Boys May Have a New Star in Season 4

Cameron Crovetti, who plays Ryan in The Boys, is set to have a big year when the fourth season arrives. The actor took over the role of Homelander’s son in season 2, however, he was only seen sporadically throughout episodes. Now, Crovetti has been bumped to a series regular, and fans can expect to see a lot more of the young superhero. The last time we saw Ryan was after Homelander announced his presence to the world, resulting in mixed reactions and an exploding head. Eric Kripke realizes the implications of Ryan and his father teaming up, telling Variety the stakes are ‘apocalyptic.’

Audiences can expect Ryan’s character to be explored much further in the upcoming season of The Boys, where Butcher and Homelander will constantly be fighting over the incredibly powerful young superhero. Unfortunately, don’t expect Season 4 to arrive anytime soon, as filming has just begun. However, check back to Prime Video in 2023 or early 2024 for the potential release of the fourth season of The Boys.

“Ryan is a really important piece of the story because he’s half Becca, half Homelander. If Butcher can figure out how to get his shit together and get the kid back, that could be the single best weapon they have against Homelander. But vice versa. If Homelander wins the kid over, that’s apocalyptic because then there’s two Homelanders. It’s like a child drama with apocalyptic stakes. It’s like ‘Kramer vs. Kramer’ meets ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ So that will be a really rich story moving forward.”
