Starring alongside big names like Josh Brolin and Sean Penn, this movie is based on an actual group of LAPD officers and detectives that refer to themselves as the Gangster Squad. The movie chronicles the group as they take down Mickey Cohen, a kingpin in 1949. Gosling plays Sgt. Jerry Wooters and Stone plays an aspiring Hollywood star named Grace Faraday. Well, needless to say that these two ooze chemistry when they are on-screen together. If you are hungry for Stone and Gosling in a movie, Gangster Squad might just be a great change of pace.

2 Crazy, Stupid, Love

Romantic comedies are always a win. And, if you have two actors in your cast that have as much charisma and chemistry as Stone and Gosling, your movie is set for success. Crazy, Stupid, Love is a romantic comedy that came out in 2011. This movie follows Cal (Steve Carell), who, after splitting with his wife (Julianne Moore) for cheating on him, seeks out help from a new friend Jacob (Gosling). Jacob takes Cal under his wing and helps him put himself back out there in the nightmare that is modern dating. Along the way, we see Jacob developing some sparks with Hannah, played by Stone, when a secret is revealed that the two are acquainted someway after all. If you are looking for an easy and reliable rom-com that will give you butterflies while also laughing out loud, it is time to watch Crazy, Stupid, Love.

1 La La Land

La La Land is arguably one of the best movies to have come out in modern movie history, and we can credit almost all of it to the remarkable performances from both Stone and Gosling. This new Hollywood rags-to-riches romance follows Mia, an aspiring young actor, when she meets Sebastian, an aspiring young musician. In true Hollywood fashion, the two young artists fall in love, and we as an audience are brought on a magical rollercoaster of what it takes to become a household name in the realm of entertainment. Along with that, La La Land navigates the complex and truly heartwarming and heartbreaking relationship between the couple that leaves us clamoring for more. Stone and Gosling are soulmates personified on-screen, and this film went on to win six Academy Awards, as well as getting caught up in the unforgettable Best Picture mix-up debacle at the 2017 Oscars.
