The new horror movie Take Back the Night will soon be streaming for Arrow subscribers, and ahead of its release on the platform on Oct. 10, we have an exclusive clip to premiere. Writer-director Gia Elliot takes no prisoners with her award-winning debut feature film, which uses a monster attack as an allegory for sexual assault and the horrors that victims often face even after the attack. You can get a sneak peek at Take Back the Night by watching our clip below with a survivor getting victim shamed on social media as she’s under attack from a malevolent monster.
In addition to writing and directing the movie, Elliot produced Take Back the Night alongside Emma Fitzpatrick, Kwanza Gooden, and David Elliot. The film stars Emma Fitzpatrick, Angela Gulner, Jennifer Lafleur, Sibongile Mlambo, Corina Kinnear, Kati Sharp, Natalie D’Amico, Jess Varley, Mecca Morgan White, Richard McDowell, Tony Sgro, and Kwanza Gooden.

The official synopsis for Take Back the Night reads:
Finding herself the victim of a violent monster attack, Jane launches a vigilante campaign to hunt the beast that tried to kill her. But her troubling history of drug use and mental illness bubbles to the surface, causing her family, community, and the authorities to question her account. Alone in her fight, Jane starts to doubt her own memory of the attack… and to wonder if the monster exists at all. Fueled by formidable female talent both in front of and behind the camera, Take Back the Night is a terrifying suspense thriller that’s both an eye-opening exposé and a powerful rallying cry.
