The holiday rom-com Christmas in the Caribbean is days away from its release, and we can premiere an exclusive clip to provide an early sneak peek. Starring Elizabeth Hurley as a hopeless romantic looking for love, things seem to be going her way when she meets a handsome man in the Caribbean following a sudden, devastating heartbreak. But not everyone will be offering their blessings to this new potential relationship, as Hurley comes to find out after going on an “invigorating” beachside ride with the man’s daughter. See what we mean by watching the clip below.

Along with Hurley, the film stars Caroline Quentin (A Week in Paradise), Edoardo Costa (Live Free or Die Hard), Nathalie Cox (Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop), Ray Fearon (Beauty and the Beast), Hadar Cats (My Dad’s Christmas Date), Downtown Julie Brown (Sharknado series), Rafael Martinez (Christmas in Paradise), and Stephanie Beacham (Coronation Street). Philippe Martinez (Christmas in Paradise) directed Christmas in the Caribbean.

The film’s official synopsis is as follows:

Rachel (Elizabeth Hurley), a hopeless romantic, has her wedding dreams poof into the crisp, late-December air when she catches her groom high-tailing it out of the church minutes before he says “I do.” Her two bridesmaids, Amanda and Rebecca, drunkenly decide not to let her perfectly good honeymoon go to waste. The ladies jet off to the islands, ready to relax in the sun and sea. Their very first evening meal brings a handsome restaurateur Allesandro to their table, and sparks begin to fly between him and Rachel.

Elizabeth Hurley Stars in Two Caribbean-Set Christmas Movies

Elizabeth Hurley recently had a chat with us at MovieWeb about the current state of her career, and she spoke about how lucky she feels to be getting roles that are so enjoyable to play. She mentioned having a fear of playing “dull parent” roles at this stage, but instead, she’s having much more fun doing movies like a pair of holiday films coming out at the same time. In addition to Christmas in the Caribbean, Hurley also stars in the new film Christmas in Paradise, which was helmed by the same director in Philippe Martinez. Though, Christmas in Paradise is actually a sequel to last year’s Father Christmas Is Back.

“I have to say, what I loved was filming in the Caribbean,” Hurley says of working on the holiday films in an exotic location. “I couldn’t really fault the location.”

On the subject of holiday movies, she added, “With Christmas films, you want people to enjoy themselves. You want people to escape for an hour-and-a-half. You want them to be taken to a world they haven’t been to. Most Christmas films are set in the snow with reindeer, but on this set, we’re on the beach with palm trees and lights in the palm tree. It’s a slightly different look.”

Christmas in the Caribbean will be released in movie theaters and On Demand on Dec. 2, 2022. You can watch the film’s official trailer below, courtesy of Screen Media Films, and you can see more from the movie at its official website.
