After several months of legal troubles and avoiding media, The Flash actor Ezra Miller has come open about all the allegations against them. The actor first got in trouble in March 2022, wherein the actor was arrested for assaulting a couple and other problems in Hawaii. From thereon, Miller’s controversial past came to the highlight. Later, Miller was seemingly calling out the cops and even running from authorities. And in the last few weeks, Miller has also been charged with burglary. All of this has caused their reputation some severe damage and has even tarnished their future as an actor.
But now that their most important film to date is in huge trouble, Miller has spoken up about these issues the actor has caused and even apologized to people they have harmed. In a statement, shared by Miller’s representatives with Variety, the actor has revealed that Miller acknowledges their mental health issues and has even started treatment. In his complete statement, Miller said,

Miller needed to respond to all these allegations, and it’s high time because The Flash, DC Extended Universe’s most crucial entry to date, is in danger of getting scrapped owing to Miller’s antics. Now that Miller has opted to seek professional help for mental health issues, there is still hope for DCEU’s rewrite to make its way to the audience.
Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment. I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe, and productive stage in my life.
What does Miller’s Statement Mean for The Flash?
Warner Bros. Pictures
Recently, Warner Bros. Discovery sought three options concerning The Flash. The studio even considered that the film would be entirely scrapped. However, the film might be saved with Miller’s recent confirmation of seeking mental health treatment.
In those three options, the studio was willing to go ahead with a limited release of the film and even retain Miller for the franchise’s future as The Flash if they sought help for their troubles. There is still no indication that The Flash will get a wide release or not, but with the film still hopefully in the pipeline, the DCEU may still be on the right track.
The Flash deals with Barry Allen traveling in the past to save his mother and inadvertently changing the timeline’s events. The multiversal outing will feature Michael Keaton’s Batman and introduce Sasha Calle as Supergirl in the character’s live-action debut. The film is currently scheduled to release in 2023. If Miller’s controversies come in the way, then The Flash may get only a limited release. Some fans already want the studio to replace Ezra Miller, so it’s still a long and arduous decision to finalize anything on the film.
