Since the Fast and Furious franchise began with 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, the movies have evolved tremendously. What started as a story about street racing has, over the course of nine Fast and Furious movies, become one that celebrates family love while providing high-stakes global action. Fast X, the upcoming tenth film, is currently in production; and according to star Tyrese Gibson, the film will go back to the franchise’s roots.

One thing that is consistent with each Fast and Furious film is, of course, the use of very impressive cars. Indeed, each film brings its own unique set of cars, which are used as accessories for the characters or as showstopping moments where cars race or become destroyed in a high-intensity moment. They are undoubtedly some of the coolest cars to be featured in a movie. Here’s eight of them, ranked.
