The upcoming action movie sequel Fast X will see Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto on dad duty, as the follow-up casts Cheaper by the Dozen actor Leo Abelo Perry as Dom’s son. This casting news comes courtesy of Variety, who reveal that Perry will portray Brian Marcos, the son of Dom, played by Vin Diesel, and Elena Neves, played by Elsa Pataky, who was last seen as a toddler in the ninth installment in the franchise, F9, which hit theaters back in June 2021.
So, it looks like Brian will be aged up by a few years when Fast X rolls around, meaning that Dom will no doubt be facing some difficult questions regarding his DVD player-stealing past and his secret agent, world-saving present. Named after his best friend and the character played throughout the series by the late Paul Walker, young Brian has already seen his fair share of action. Kidnapped during the events of The Fate of the Furious by criminal mastermind and cyberterrorist, Cipher (Charlize Theron), Brian has already been part of a hugely entertaining action sequence led by Jason Statham, who rescues the baby Brian from a plane full of henchmen.

One can only wonder what Fast X has in store for Leo Abelo Perry as he takes over the role of Brian in the sequel. The young actor does not have many credits to his name yet, with his biggest role being in Cheaper by the Dozen alongside Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union, but no doubt being Toretto’s son will open many doors.

Jason Momoa Joins the World of the Fast and the Furious as the Villain of Fast X
Netflix
Dominic Toretto and his family are set to face their biggest threat so far in the form of Aquaman and Dune star Jason Momoa. Momoa will star in Fast X as the mysterious main antagonist, Dante, who, according to Momoa himself, will be a little different from what audiences might expect.
“I’m a peacock at the highest level and I’m having the time of my life,” Momoa said of his experience filming Fast X, revealing that he will sport purple and pink painted toenails and drive a lavender car. “It’s been hard because people always think I’m just this dude who plays [macho characters]. But I want to be moved, I want something new. Things are changing, and even the villain roles I’m playing now are eccentric.”
Due to be directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me) following the dramatic departure of director Justin Lin, Fast X stars Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jason Momoa, Jordana Brewster, Brie Larson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Michael Rooker, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, Daniela Melchior, and Alan Ritchson.
Fast X is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2023, by Universal Pictures. A sequel, Fast XI, is expected to be released in February 2024.
