Epix wants more From where that came from. Deadline reports that the series has been officially renewed for season 2, certainly good news for fans who have enjoyed the first season. Season 2 will consist of ten episodes with plans to start production in the summer in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Epix eyes a likely 2023 release. In season 2, “hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.”
Created by John Griffin, From set the new record for Epix as having the most-viewed original series premiere on the network following its MGM acquisition. The series is also reportedly on track to become the second most-watched original altogether, behind only the Emmy-winning drama Godfather of Harlem. For Epix, this made it a no-brainer to renew From for more.

From is executive produced by Pinkner, Griffin, Jack Bender, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio, Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, and Mike Larocca from AGBO, and Lindsay Dunn. Adrienne Erickson of Midnight Radio is co-executive producing.
From Has a Strong Ensemble Cast

The excellent cast would certainly play a big part in fans getting invested in From. The show teams Harold Perrineau (Oz, The Matrix) back up with Lost alums Bender and Pinkner to lead the cast alongside Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace), Eion Bailey (Once Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy (Van Helsing), Simon Webster (Lucas the Spider), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Lune), Corteon Moore (Slasher), Pegah Ghafoori (Hello Au Revoir), David Alpay (The Tudors), Elizabeth Saunders (When Hope Calls), Elizabeth Moy, and Avery Konrad (Sacred Lies).
“I really love how complex Boyd was and all the other characters,” Perrineau said of his character, per Horror Geek Life. “I was curious about where the stories for the other characters would go, what was up with Boyd and his son, the nurse, the young deputy. I didn’t know any of this stuff, what was happening, and that was really interesting. I thought the writing and the story were great, very compelling, and to be honest, I didn’t realize it was part of the horror genre at first because it was so suspenseful. However, I know Jack and Jeff. They aren’t just about blood and guts. I know exactly what they are going after, and that’s who these human beings are. That’s what’s going to lock us in. The script read like that, and it was really good.”
From season 2 doesn’t yet have a release date but is expected to premiere on Epix in 2023.
