We may not have seen the last of Gabriel Luna as Robbie Reyes. Previously, Luna played the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider in the TV show Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and there were plans at one point for him to get his own spinoff series. That spinoff was ultimately scrapped and Luna hasn’t been seen in the role since his Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. appearances.
To promote his new series The Last of Us on HBO, Luna participated in an interview with THR and addressed a potential return as Ghost Rider. The actor is touched that so many Marvel fans keep asking about this possibility years after he wrapped up his run in the role. He makes it clear that he’d be “absolutely happy to do it” if he gets a call to get involved, especially with fans still continuously rooting for it to happen.

Luna agrees that the introduction of the multiverse in the MCU makes a potential return that much more possible, and at this point, the ball is in Marvel’s court, as the actor is waiting for their call.

Luna also touched on a possible Ghost Rider return in a recent interview with ComicBook.com. He similarly expressed how happy he is with his previous portrayal but made it clear he’s on standby to show up as Robbie Reyes in the MCU if he gets the call. He also said that Ghost Rider deserves to appear in the MCU, even if it’s another actor in the role.
In the meantime, fans can see Luna in The Last of Us on HBO.
