One former Ghost Rider actor is pushing for the character to finally make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, Gabriel Luna played the Robbie Reyes version of the character in the Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and at one point, he was set to star in his own spinoff series. While the spinoff ultimately fell through, the door is theoretically open for Luna to reprise the role in the MCU. It’s just as possible for a new incarnation of the character to make an appearance with a different actor in the role.

Either way, Luna is hoping to see Ghost Rider showing up in the MCU and mingling with the Avengers. The actor recently touched on the topic in an interview with ComicBook.com, and he expressed that he was pretty satisfied with the character arc he had with Robbie in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. With that said, he also makes it clear he’d be very happy to reprise that role if Marvel Studios were to ask.

Luna goes on to explain how the comic books provide great source material for directions that Ghost Rider could take in the future of the MCU. The thought makes the actor so excited that he feels that Ghost Rider “absolutely deserves” to have a part in the Avengers’ future battles, no matter if it’s Luna back in the role or someone else entirely. As Luna puts it:

Meanwhile, Luna will be focused on another major role. He can be seen as the brother of Pedro Pascal’s character in The Last of Us, a high-budget adaptation fo the video game that’s coming to HBO. It premieres on Jan. 15, 2023.
