It’s hard not to be excited for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. With all the rumored cameos swirling around the movie, there’s no telling who we’ll see in the highly anticipated MCU film. Based on the movie’s promotional materials, it looks like Stephen Strange will be dealing with some insane multiversal threats. More than that, the return of beloved MCU characters like Wong, Mordo, and The Scarlet Witch has audiences wondering who’s a friend and who, particularly in Scarlet Witch’s case, is a villain....

A new piece of promotional art for the upcoming Marvel sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness gives us our best look yet at Elizabeth Olsen’s return as Wanda Maximoff AKA The Scarlet Witch and her slightly altered new costume. Unveiled by Twitter user alias, the artwork shows Wanda floating through the air and displaying her powers and outfit, which made its debut in the Disney+ series WandaVision. The Scarlet Witch will have a prominent role in the Doctor Strange follow-up, with many theorizing that she will emerge as one of the movie’s antagonists....

Is a General Hux spinoff the Star Wars project fans have been waiting for? Maybe not, but Domhnall Gleeson would love to return to the franchise all the same. His character appeared in all three films of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, playing a First Order General in The Force Awakens. However, he drastically changes by the final film, The Rise of Skywalker, as his character shifts to an undercover spy for the Resistance....

Martial arts superstar Donnie Yen has wrapped on upcoming action sequel John Wick 4, with the actor sharing some behind-the-scenes footage from the set of the movie. Yen took to social media to heap praise on both Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski, with the actor giving us a glimpse backstage and describing the upcoming John Wick outing as “super fun” and “creative” before declaring that audiences will “really love this one....

Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. (“AccessIT”) and DreamWorks SKG (“DreamWorks”) said today DreamWorks will give full support to exhibitors participating in Christie/AIX’s digital cinema rollout by releasing future films in digital format. DreamWorks is the fifth and latest studio agreeing to provide its content for digital distribution and projection and to fund exhibitor adoption of DCI-compliant hardware. The studio’s productions will be made available to all exhibitors currently deploying systems under the Christie/AIX’s 4,000-screen national rollout plan, starting with the first 150 digital cinema projection systems expected to be installed by December 31, 2005....

E! Entertainment Television announces a second season pick-up for its popular weeknight comedy talk show Chelsea Lately, featuring comedienne and bestselling author Chelsea Handler. Since its July debut, the half-hour series has shown double-digit growth in the time period versus a year ago among households and key demos. High & Outside: A Baseball Noir, an indie drama with a baseball backdrop from the team behind 2011’s award-winning comedy Stan, have added Eddie Jemison (Ocean’s Eleven, Hung) to their eclectic cast which includes Geoffrey Lewis (High Plains Drifter, Every Which Way But Loose), David Yow (Jesus Lizard), Richard Patrick (Filter, Nine Inch Nails) and Phil Donlon (Unbroken, Queen of the Lot). Directed by Evald Johnson, the film is based on his personal experiences as the son of a Major League baseball player turned controversial manager....

Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal has been working hard to make a cast reunion special happen, but as of now, no network or streaming service has yet taken him up on the offer. Based on the comedy of Ray Romano, Everybody Loves Raymond aired for nine seasons between 1996-2005. In a massive deal back in March 2019, Marvel Studios officially acquired and merged with Fox Studios at a cost of $71.3 billion USD. Marvel Studios, and fans across the world, rejoiced after hearing this news, because with the deal, Marvel now owns the movie rights to, most notably the X-Men and the Fantastic 4. Marvel originally sold these character rights to Constantin Studios in 1986 in order to avoid bankruptcy, and then Constantin Studios licensed those rights to Fox Studios in 2004....

After the success of its Best Picture winner Slumdog Millionaire, Fox Searchlight is returning to India for a new film that could star the Slumdog lead actor. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that is moving forward with a film entitled The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which will be set in India. The film is based off the novel These Foolish Things by Deborah Moggach and centers on a group of well-off British senior citizens who decide to live out the rest of their retirement years in India and was described by the site as a, “dramatic comedy about people in their twilight years....

In some surprising news, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has departed George Miller’s Mad Max prequel movie, Furiosa. British television and stage actor Tom Burke has been announced as his replacement. Abdul-Mateen was thrilled about joining the Mad Max franchise and working with George Miller but parted ways due to scheduling conflicts. According to Deadline, Abdul-Mateen chose a long-gestating passion project of his over Furiosa. Moreover, the Mad Max prequel was recently pushed back to May 24, 2024, from its planned June 6, 2023, release date, which could have further created complications in Abdul-Mateen’s busy schedule....
