Star Wars actor Hayden Christensen thinks a Darth Vader standalone series would be “amazing.” The actor, who is known for playing Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequel series, has returned as the character all these years later in the Disney+ show Obi-Wan Kenobi – to much applause and fanfare. Asked by The Hollywood Reporter if he would consider further exploring the story of Anakin/Vader in a solo series, Christensen was quick with a positive response....

Drew Barrymore has signed on to star opposite Justin Long in Going the Distance, a romantic comedy that Nanette Burstein is directing for New Line. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story is by first-time scribe Geoff LaTulippe and follows a couple trying to maintain a long-distance relationship. LaTulippe was a New Line script reader who segued into screenwriting, and Going the Distance contains some imprint from his life: The male lead also is a script reader....

Wealthy celebrity Elon Musk is taking the high road after his name came up during the heated trial involving Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million, alleging that she had defamed him with an op-ed she wrote in 2018 describing herself as a domestic abuse survivor. Heard counter-sued for $100 million and insists Depp abused her on a consistent basis for years, making her op-ed truthful....

A new Quentin Tarantino film, however, is reason to call in sick to work and camp out overnight at your local theater. Before Season 1 of Gotham came to an end last year, actress Jada Pinkett Smith made the surprising revelation that she will not return as a series regular in Season 2. Of course, she did end up returning as the villainous Fish Mooney in two Season 2 episodes, and it seems she’ll be coming back for Season 3 of the hit Fox series as well. Over the weekend, executive producer Danny Cannon released a new photo from the set, featuring Fish Mooney’s return in Season 3....

The television series based on A Nightmare on Elm Street will soon become more accessible than ever. Originally airing in syndication for two seasons in the late 1980s, Freddy’s Nightmares was a horror anthology series that told a different story with every episode. Tying them all together was franchise star Robert Englund, serving as the host of the program with Freddy Krueger introducing the show’s horror stories. Copies of Freddy’s Nightmares have been floating around on home video for years, but it hasn’t always been easy for fans to find, at least not inexpensively....

HBO has revealed our first look at the upcoming Game of Thrones spinoff, House of the Dragon, by posting some concept artwork for the show’s dragon’s online. The 94th Academy Awards have been controversial from the moment it announced its nominees for a number of reasons, so it is only fitting that the biggest talking point of the night had nothing to do with the winners and losers of the event, but for the slapping of host Chris Rock by award winner Will Smith for a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith. Following the incident, it was revealed by the Los Angeles Police Department that they were aware of the incident, which could be classed as assault, but would not be pursuing it as Rock had declined the chance to lodge a complaint....
