The world of The Walking Dead is expanding, and a first look at what that looks like has been revealed in a teaser for Dead City. The spin-off will see fan-favorite villain-turned-anti-hero Negan and Maggie relocating to the new surroundings of Manhattan, New York. The teaser is not forthcoming with too many details but features some ominous shots of a dead New York and some new zombies for fans to get their teeth into....

Since the recent firing of Fred Savage, actor turned director of ABC’s The Wonder Years reboot, sources have been flocking to various media outlets to share their behind-the-scenes stories. The 45-year-old actor is at the center of a firestorm, making headlines last week after being fired due to allegations of misconduct. Details about the alleged behavior had been rather opaque until now, and it has clear echoes of previous accusations. According to one of the production veterans who worked alongside Savage on the set, the former child actor’s approach behind the camera was difficult on the crew....

Demi Moore is joining the second season of FX’s Feud as Ann Woodward, Variety reported earlier this week. Season 2 of the Ryan Murphy anthology series Feud will tell the true story of how Truman Capote’s friendship with many members of New York high society until he published excerpts of his unfinished novel Answered Prayers, which was a tell-all about NYC’s elite. According to Variety’s sources, Moore has been cast as NYC socialite, model, and radio actress Ann Woodward, who was infamously accused of murdering her husband in 1955....

Last month, we reported that Game of Thrones will be renewed for a third season on HBO. The forecast is sunny side up for Sony Pictures Animation as the studio has reassembled the all-star, comedy voice cast of the animated hit Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers, set for release in 3D on February 7, 2014. The first Cloudy film took in $243 million worldwide. The sequel is directed by Cody Cameron (whose story artist credits include Shrek, Madagascar, Surf’s Up and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) & Kris Pearn (head of story on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and story supervisor on Arthur Christmas) and produced by longtime Sony Pictures Animation producer Kirk Bodyfelt....

Comedy Central has revealed an ambitious development slate including projects from Snoop Dogg, Andy Richter and David Alan Grier. Pilots and scripts encompass a wide variety of forms, including animated, sketch, scripted narrative and parody. According to Variety, the channel has already picked up the series Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire, which the channel describes as its “first foray into medieval comedy.” At least another four or five series are planned for 2009, with some projects picked up as soon as next month and another round will greenlight in the fall....

In Dirt Courteney plays Lucy Spiller, a ruthless tabloid editor. She is also co-producer of the show. In the now-familiar scenario of someone tweeting something that they maybe shouldn’t and quickly attempting to delete it, a Disney+ executive seems to have revealed a very appropriate release date is now expected for the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series. According to the images of the tweet shared via Reddit, the return of Ewan McGregor as the Jedi master will premiere on Disney + in May, and that can really only suggest one date for Obi-Wan Kenobi’s debut: May 4th....

It may seem like the tide is turning but some industry heavyweights are stepping up behind Blu-ray Disc. In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that Disney’s Robert Iger feels that those studios not supporting Blu-ray Disc “are being greedy and shortsighted.” He called Blu-ray beating HD-DVD in the format war a “no-brainer,” based on better sales for Blu-ray Disc over HD-DVD. This all comes in the wake of Viacom’s Paramount and DreamWorks… dumping Blu-ray last month in favor of HD-DVD....

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is celebrating 40 years of the first time Prince Adam held aloft his magic sword and said “By the power of Grayskull.” Next month also marks the 35th anniversary of Dolph Lundgren’s appearance as the muscle man of Eternia in what is currently still the only live-action version of the character to ever make it to screens. As part of the Kevin Smith moderated panel celebrating the Ruby anniversary of the franchise, Lundgren recalled playing He-Man in Masters of the Universe, a movie that would come to be a perfect example of a “cult classic....
