Jerry Seinfeld is back on the road to promote the upcoming 10th Season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, which streams on Netflix. Seinfeld unveiled a new trailer for the series with the help of friend Matthew Broderick. The trailer features upcoming guests Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Zach Galifianakis, Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, John Mulaney, Kate McKinnon, Hasan Minhaj, Dana Carvey, Brian Regan, Neal Brennan and the late Jerry Lewis. Ellen DeGeneres wonders aloud how all of the coffee that Jerry Seinfeld drinks doesn’t affect him, and in true Seinfeld fashion, he reveals that it really does....

Tonight in the Gaslamp district, Beowulf writers Neil Gaiman and Roger Avery premiered their new 3-D trailer for the film. They also showed us the second reel of the Robert Zemeckis directed motion capture project. What we saw was finished literally minutes before it ran through the projector. Actor-turned-indie director Corbin Bernsen has signed on to direct 25 Hill, which centers on an 11-year-old boy whose derby dreams are left in pieces when his soldier father is killed in Afghanistan. The boy teams up with a father figure whose own son, a firefighter, died in the line of duty, and the two help each other find redemption and revive the derby. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the family-friendly production is budgeted for about $500,000....

We have more news in the form of a rumor today. It seems that a user on The Planet Forum talked with Superman: The Man of Steel co-writer Michael Dougherty while visiting the U.S. Capitol. Here’s what he had to say about the upcoming sequel: I asked him if he was a part of the sequel because everything I have seen says [Bryan] Singer and [Dan] Harris are writing the script and that he isn’t mentioned....

The first printing of Alan Robert’s critically acclaimed horror graphic novel, Crawl to Me (IDW Publishing), has sold out within a week of its release. As a result, the award-winning publisher is currently scheduling a second pressing. In related news, director David A. Armstrong, cinematographer for the successful box-office hit franchise Saw, is now attached to direct a live-action adaptation of Crawl to Me for the big screen. Armstrong is currently directing the indie hostage drama, Pawn, starring Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Fantastic Four) and Academy Award winner, Forest Whitaker with Ray Liotta and Common supporting....

Hulu has released a trailer for their upcoming animated Crossing Swords series. The new show hails from Robot Chicken and SuperMansion producers John Harvatine IV and Tom Root and it premieres this Friday, June 12th. It’s clear from the start that these specific Peg People toys, which are made for pre-school children, are strictly for adults only. Even the trailer is NSFW, so one has to wonder what is going to go on when the show debuts....

Kevin Costner’s epic Best Picture winner Dances with Wolves will make its debut on Blu-ray in a new 20th Anniversary edition on January 11, 2011. The two-disc BD set will be priced at $29.99 SRP. Della Reese, best known for her role as Tess on Touched by an Angel, has passed away at the age of 86. The actress and R&B singer died at her home in California surrounded by loved ones and is said to have succumbed peacefully. The news was confirmed in a statement by her former co-star, Roma Downey. Disney has revealed the first trailer for Encore! This is one of many shows being produced for the Disney+ streaming service, which is set to launch in November. In this case, we’ve got an unscripted show coming from executive producer Kristen Bell, who is very friendly with the Mouse House, given her work in Frozen and the upcoming sequel. This sees her in a very different position though, as she’s reuniting former high school kids turned adults to reproduce the musicals they starred in years ago....
