Consecration is the newest horror movie from writer and director Christopher Smith, and it’s certain to be a must-watch for any fan of horror. Set to premiere next month, the movie involves possible foul play when a priest winds up dead at a remote Scottish convent. While the nuns all agree the priest’s death was a suicide, his sister believes otherwise. The consensus among the nuns is the priest jumped from the nearby cliffs himself after “falling into darkness,” while his sister is under the impression that something more heinous occurred at the distant abbey....

Every director and actor has “the one that got away” when it comes to films that they could have been part of, and legendary director David Cronenberg is no exception. Having come close to directing Star Wars sequel Return of the Jedi, Cronenberg recently opened up about deciding not to work on another iconic movie of the 1980s: Top Gun. Tony Scott is one of my favorite directors and it’s too bad he has had some ups and downs recently. I was really looking forward to Deja Vu after I saw the travesty that was Domino. Then Ridley’s movie came out and flopped hard. So I was in the mood for a good Scott film, thankfully Deja Vu is a sharp thriller that bleeds Tony Scott’s ultra visual style. The plot is a bit over the top, but it’s not so preposterous that you won’t be able to enjoy the film....

The National Treasure franchise has been dormant since 2007, but when Disney announced that they would be adapting the Nicolas Cage and Diane Kruger-starring movie into a series, fans began to get excited to see a continuation of the treasure hunting adventure return to the big screen. However, the new outing will actually feature an all-new cast in a TV series heading to Disney+, and when it comes to a third movie, Diane Kruger isn’t holding her breath for a call anytime soon....

Avatar: The Way of Water has been a massive hit with audiences all over the world, and we can safely say that the franchise’s future looks promising. Another casting rumor is making its way across the Internet. This one indicates that director Quentin Tarantino wants actor Leonardo DiCaprio for his Western Django Unchained. The actor will reportedly play villain Calvin Candie in Django Unchained, according to Creative Screenwriting’s Jeff Goldsmith. Take a look at his tweet below. Upcoming sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two will not necessarily bring the epic franchise to an end, with writer Jon Spaihts revealing that it will leave the door open for a third movie. Speaking with The Playlist, Spaihts even suggested that, in the end, there could be up to seven installments in the Dune franchise when all is said and done. Frank Herbert wrote a total of six novels in the Dune series, Dune (1965), Dune Messiah (1969), Children of Dune (1976), God Emperor of Dune (1981), Heretics of Dune (1984), and Chapterhouse: Dune (1985), and according to Jon Spaihts, Dune director Denis Villeneuve is hoping to at least cover Dune Messiah as an end to his prospective trilogy....

Not much has yet been revealed regarding Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons reboot, but star Chris Pine has now presented possibly the best comparison that fans of the legendary fantasy tabletop role-playing game could hope for. In an interview with Collider, Pine compared the adaptation to both Game of Thrones and The Princess Bride, even adding in a sprinkle of Monty Python and the Holy Grail for good measure. It sounds like somewhere in between the dark, gritty complexity of Game of Thrones and the joyful family film that is The Princess Bride, Paramount have found the perfect tone for their take on Dungeons and Dragons....

Executive producer Jim Casey of J&J Productions and producing partner Kim Waltrip of Wonderstar Productions have inked a deal with Echo Bridge Entertainment as worldwide distributors for Expecting Mary. Written and directed by Dan Gordon, Expecting Mary stars Elliott Gould, Linda Gray, Lainie Kazan, Cloris Leachman, Della Reese, Olesya Rulin, Cybill Shepherd, Gene Simmons and Fred Willard. Scheduled for a fall 2010 release, the film is the story of a runaway pregnant teenager, with all the trappings of an upscale life, who finds herself in a downtrodden trailer park in New Mexico, and learns the real meaning of love, sacrifice and family....

The Good Ellen DeGeneres has softened up over the years but she’s as sassy as ever here. The Bad No Special Features of any sort. The Ellen Show: The Complete Series allows fans of this sitcom who only saw the thirteen episodes that aired, to see all eighteen that were created. I think I remember when this show came on the air and I recall when it was canceled, but until I was called to review it, I hadn’t ever seen it before....

Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis are both the kings of the box office for this weekend. The two movies had been deadlocked for the No. 1 spot with both films earning $30.5 domestically in the United States and Canada. This will put the two movies at a rare tie, though it can still be seen as a big win for Maverick. The Top Gun sequel marks a return to the top of the box office with its fifth weekend in theaters, which is another uncommon occurrence, while Elvis was making its debut....

Empire won’t be getting the series finale the creators of the hit Fox show had in mind. Executive producers and co-creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong have both confirmed that the show’s upcoming April 21 episode will serve as the series finale. However, that wasn’t originally the plan, which means the Lyon family won’t be riding off into the sunset as intended. The widespread production shutdown in Hollywood right now has had adverse effects on quite a few TV shows....

The Loneliest Boy in the World is a pastel-induced zombie fairy tale from the perspective of Oliver (Max Harwood), an isolated and bullied teenager grieving the sudden death of his mother. He used to spend all of his time with her at their home in the suburbs but is now tasked by his social worker to make friends. Oliver struggles to do so and faces rejection in every step. One day, he sits alone at a graveyard and watches a wacky but heartfelt eulogy for a boy named Mitch (Hero Fiennes Tiffin)....

The Oscar-nominated director Nils Gaup has been making acclaimed Norwegian films for 35 years now, from Pathfinder to The Last King (with a detour through Hollywood with his English-language debut feature, the James Caan film North Star). His new film, Images of a Nordic Drama, is a first for the director, though — it’s a documentary. While Norwegian history and historical fiction regarding the Sami people has always been a subject for Gaup, this documentary investigates a different sort of true story....

As Caleb becomes privy to the plot thanks to the help of his protégé Banshee, they must team up alongside Caleb’s daughter to survive. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is an animated science-fiction series set in the Jurassic Park universe.
