Fuller House showrunner Bryan Behar will soon be heading to court, as ousted showrunner and series creator Jeff Franklin is suing him. Franklin’s involvement in the series dates back to 1987 when he created Full House, the original sitcom which spawned the sequel series. He returned as the showrunner when Netflix chose to revive the classic comedy series with Fuller House in 2016, remaining in the role for the show’s first three seasons....

FX is teaming with director Pete Berg (The Kingdom) and screenwriter Sheldon Turner (Magneto) for a dark cop drama with echoes of Heart of Darkness, according to Variety. The untitled project revolves around two law-enforcement agents who are undercover in the world of the Russian Mafia. One is a Kurtz-like figure who’s gone off the grid; the other is an NYPD officer sent in to find the potentially renegade agent....

Chris Hemsworth has become the first Marvel Cinematic Universe star to lead four solo superhero movies with the upcoming release of Thor: Love and Thunder, but even with so much time spent in that role, the actor isn’t hanging up the cape just yet. As of now, it’s unclear if and when Hemsworth will return as Thor in other movies set in the MCU. Given the immense interest surrounding Love and Thunder and Hemsworth’s continued popularity with fans, however, it certainly seems inevitable that he’ll be back soon enough....

The top selling DVD during the first half of the year has been The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Despite DVD’s with newer features, HD and Blu-ray, the decline in home video has continued into 2006. In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, “consumer home video spending slipped 3.7% in the first half of the year, to $10.9 billion, according to preliminary estimates from Home Media Retailing’s market research department....

Screenwriter Eric Roth has signed on to write Cleopatra for Sony Pictures. Brian Helgeland wrote the initial draft, which is adapted from Stacy Schiff’s book, Cleopatra: A Life. Angelina Jolie has long been attached to star as Cleopatra. The movie will tell the Egyptian Pharaoh’s tale from a woman’s perspective, portraying her as a cunning strategist and politician. Back in May, we reported that David Fincher is in talks to direct....

IFC has debuted clips for their brand new comedy shows Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk, which premiere back-to-back Friday, June 8 at 10 PM ET. Deadpool, set to star Ryan Reynolds, has been kicking around in development at 20th Century Fox ever since the character’s first on-screen appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009. While attending the Arizona Comic-Con this past week, comic book mainstay Rob Liefeld spoke out about the impending Deadpool stand-alone movie, saying that it is closer than ever to moving forward at Fox. The studio has also shot a very R rated 8-minute test reel for this potential franchise starter....

There have been numerous reports that Green Lantern just isn’t very good from people close to the movie. Some fans have responded in kind in terms of the trailer. One of the biggest gripes has been Hal Jordan’s CGI’d costume, which appears in place of a real latex covered body. Actor Ryan Reynolds, who plays Hal in this big screen version of the DC Comics adaptation, has responded to that negativity, explaining why he thinks the CGI is needed for the story....

Leading independent distributor Entertainment One (eOne) has acquired North American home video and digital rights for the nationally syndicated series Elvira’s Movie Macabre, which will arrive in its first two installments of hilariously horrifying “Double Feature DVDs” this June. Presented by Elvira: Mistress of the Dark - the world’s sexiest, most outrageous and original movie hostess - Elvira’s Movie Macabre was re-launched on over 120 stations across the country this past fall and was instantly praised as “a dream come true for horror fans” (Fangoria)....

The Good A lot of this movie made me laugh. The Bad Some of the gags in this movie were really bad. A little overboard on the features, people. Epic Movie is an interesting film in that it manages to weave together movies like Harry Potter, The Lord Of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Chronicles of Narnia into one cohesive film. At the same time it examines things like Saturday Night Live’s “Lazy Sunday” videos, celebrities like Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson and others and it mixes all of this up so that the movie plays as one piece of reflexive sketch after another....

The upcoming blockbuster, Marvel Studios’ Eternals, features an openly gay superhero and anticipation in the LGBTQ+ community is high, particularly because of the introduction of Phastos, his husband, and the couple’s son. However, it’s clear that not everyone feels the same about more representation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As first reported by The Direct, homophobic trolls are already out in full force, bombarding the Eternals IMDb page with reviews focusing on the film’s queer content just a week before the film hits theaters....

David Earl and Chris Hayward immediately come across as charming, funny people. When Zoom freezes up at the beginning of our interview, they immediately deflate the awkwardness with some sweet humor, offering to freeze themselves as well. For a moment, we all sit in odd frozen positions in our little boxed screens, difficult to tell who’s having a technical glitch and who’s using a bit of quick improvisation to make the other laugh and feel better (hint: they were the latter)....

We have a new exclusive clip for the sci-fi thriller Outsiders ahead of its release on March 11. From Vertical Entertainment, the film follows a Black teenager looking to prove his innocence when he’s wrongfully blamed for a classmate’s disappearance. Our exclusive clip, which you can watch below, picks up with the police getting involved shortly after some kind of strange incident has apparently just unfolded. Aamir Khan began his career as a child actor working in films in his native country of India. Eventually, Khan went on to become one of the most beloved actors in his country before deciding to concentrate his talents on being a film producer. In 2001, he made his debut as a film producer with the Academy Award-nominated movie Lagaan. Khan has produced several films since then and the Government of India awarded him the Padma Bushan for his contributions to Indian cinema this year....

Unarguably one of the most popular, legendary and influential rock bands of all time has got to be The Doors. The band formed in 1965 after a chance meeting on Venice Beach, in California, between fellow UCLA film school alumni acquaintances Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek. Jim read Ray some of his poetry and Manzarek, impressed by Morrison’s lyrics, suggested they start a band. Soon drummer John Densmore and guitarist Robby Krieger joined the group, and with Manzarek on keyboards and Morrison supplying the lead vocals, the rest is rock n’ roll history....
