On Sept. 21, Netflix will premiere the new series DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. From Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, the series stars Evan Peters as the titular murderer, exploring Dahmer’s horrific crimes along with the failures of the police that allowed them to continue for so long. Along with a new trailer, Netflix has released an interview with Peters with the actor speaking about his research for playing the role and what it was like to step into the shoes of the notorious cannibal....

The Good This show is both hilarious and irreverently ahead of its time. Brilliant. The Bad No commentary tracks. Everybody Hates Chris: The Second Season is both a true and untrue show that is inspired by the life of Chris Rock. Essentially, we see the childhood of young Chris (played here by Tyler James Williams) as he deals with his family, his school life and the world around him. Some of the stand out episodes are “Everybody Hates Rejection” in which Chris tries to get some girls to like him with very unfavorable results....

Death Note is arguably one of the most loved and well-known animes ever made. Whether it be religious connotations or deeper meanings, the show has gained a lot of street cred for being full to the brim with hidden symbolism, and in keeping with this overall theme throughout, the closing curtain, even years later, carries limitless food for thought....

When considering a character’s strengths and weaknesses, it is most important to remember that they are not just rooted internally. A character can strive to exceed their personal best while struggling to meet their own personal expectations. Character exposition remains so focused on internal elements so much so that external factors are seldom considered to be a legitimate problem. There is such an intense focus on conditioning oneself that there is the declination to acknowledge that maybe one’s greatest drawback isn’t exactly at their own faults, but lies at the hands of their greatest enemy....

The Good It’s Family Guy, it’s hilarious, it’s uncencored and extended, and it has great special features. The Bad The only thing they could have done better was not split season 4 into two volumes, it’s just a cheap move on Fox’s part to make some more moolah on an already profitable franchise. Family Guy is one of the best shows on television. I am a huge fan and am so glad to see how far it has come....

The Good A well made movie with thoughtful bonus features make this a DVD worth owning. The Bad If you’re going into this movie wanting the book you can forget it. In Richard Linklater’s interpretation of Fast Food Nation we get a bunch of stories that deal with the social effects of meat packing plants, illegal immigration, student protesters and corporate America. Greg Kinnear plays everyman Don Henderson who is summoned to look at a meat packing plant after it is discovered that there’s been feces on some hamburgers....

Fear the Walking Dead reveals what happened to Al (Maggie Grace), introduces a new character, and a truly unexpected dash of lesbian romance. What “The End of Everything” doesn’t do is provide any major clues about the mysterious organization behind the three circles. We get a few scant details to further our intrigue. The breadcrumbs are definitely being sprinkled to an overarching plot in The Walking Dead universe. “The End of Everything” begins with an unconscious Al being dragged in the rain at night....

Netflix has just announced the massive voice cast for Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The Series was initially announced as something of a big surprise last year and will serve as a prequel to the events of the Jim Henson classic.
