The guys that run the official Michael Bay website have gotten a chance to visit the Chicago set of Transformers 3 and have lived to tell about it. Check out their report along with new production photos… As well, another tipster sent in his notes and pics from the set here: “I arrived at the Chicago Michigan Ave. set on Friday, July 16th. I was greeted by Mike Case (Bay’s assistant) and was taken to Bay’s monitor tent which was in the middle of a war zone....

It’s good to wear modern clothes for a change. Aidan Turner may be best known for the stellar array of costumes he wears in period dramas. There’s Poldark, a post-American Revolutionary War tale about a guy rebuilding his life. In Leonardo, he was the creative king of Renaissance Italy, playing Leonardo da Vinci—ah, the attire. Further back, he played Kili the dwarf in The Hobbit films, often don up in ornate armor, sword fully ready....

Starz announced today that acclaimed filmmaker David Michôd will direct the first episode of the new original drama series Flesh and Bone. Michôd is known as both a writer and director and his debut feature film Animal Kingdom went on to win multiple awards, as well as Golden Globe and Oscar nominations. His next feature film, The Rover, which he wrote and directed, stars Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson. Flesh and Bone was created by Emmy award-winning Breaking Bad Writer and Executive Producer, Moira Walley-Beckett and follows a young ballet dancer with a distinctly troubled past, as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York....

It seems that Fox is taking a unique approach to the superhero/graphic novel game by adapting a new Ed Brubaker graphic novel. Deadline New York is reporting that Fox has picked up the rights to Brubaker’s graphic novel series Incognito. The story revolves around Zach Overkill, a villain with super powers who is caught by the authorities and rats out his boss, The Black Death, and is forced to go into witness protection custody....

Francis Ford Coppola has announced the cast of Megalopolis, a film over two decades in the making. Megalopolis will feature Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Voight. The Godfather director has sold a piece of his Francis Ford Coppola Winery to fund his dream project. The budget is set at just under $100 million. Coppola has written the script and will direct the feature film which takes place in a utopian version of New York City....

Though a new series set in the world of Full House and Fuller House won’t be the same without the presence of Danny Tanner, the franchise cast members are up for revisiting that world with a third show someday. In January, Bob Saget passed away unexpectedly at the age of 65. As the Full House cast has always been very close over the years, the loss hit them all very hard, leaving them feeling like they’d lost a family member....

Comedy Central has renewed the animated hit Futurama for two more seasons. Although it hasn’t been officially announced yet, sources close to the production indicate it’s a done deal. The network issued a 26-episode order, which will spread out over two 13-episode seasons. The tactic is similar to the network’s initial deal to bring the show back in June 2009. 13 episodes from that original order have already aired, with the next cycle set to debut in June....

FX has closed a 10/90 deal with Lionsgate Television and Lionsgate’s television distribution company Debmar-Mercury for the George Lopez half-hour sitcom Saint George, starring and co-created by Lopez, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, Executive Vice President, FX Networks. Matt Williams and his Wind Dancer Films partner David McFadzean, co-created Saint George with Lopez, and the trio will serve as executive producers. Michael Rotenberg (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) is executive producer....

As news about Stephen Sommers G.I. Joe has been coming out, fan reaction to the news has ranged from the exhilarated (Ray Parks cast as Snake Eyes) to the dismayed (G.I. Joe may be an international U.N. sponsored team?) to the confused (Marlon Wayans cast as Ripcord). The latest behind-the-scenes featurette for Season 3 of Game of Thrones takes us North of the Wall to explore the Wildlings. Author George R.R. Martin explains that these characters are deemed “uncivilized” by those who live in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and we also hear from cast members Rose Leslie (Ygritte), Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) and series creator D.B. Weiss, who expand on the Wildlings’ mythology. Costume designer no_Michelle Clapton breaks down the different attire that is worn by Wildlings from distinct tribes, and production designer Gemma Jackson shows how practical these nomadic tribes really are, carrying only what they need from place to place....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, while the one-two punch of the Walt Disney Co.’s Chicken Little and Universal Pictures’ Jarhead might not have exceeded last year’s The Incredibles opening of $70.4 million, together the new films proved to the industry and its audiences that if you make movies that compel moviegoers, they will show up at the theaters. With the marketing might of Disney behind it, Buena Vista Distribution opened its first homegrown CG-animated film, Chicken Little, to an estimated $40....
