Chase Sui Wonders has joined the cast of the upcoming Apple-produced series City on Fire, according to Variety. City on Fire is based on the book of the same name by Garth Risk Hallberg. The book was a New York Times Notable Book and named one of the Best Books of the Year by The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, NPR, Vogue, San Francisco Chronicle, and The Wall Street Journal....
Just two days after finding a new director in Josh Trank, Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot has landed screenwriter Jeremy Slater. The project is based on the Marvel comic book series created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, revolving around the exploits of Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Girl, The Human Torch, and The Thing. Fox previously released Fantastic Four in 2005 and the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007, although they are starting over from scratch with a new origin story....
The hype for Creed III continues to grow with the release of a new official poster, showcasing Michael B. Jordan in his next match as Adonis Creed. Serving as the third installment of the hit movie series, Creed III will also be directed by Jordan, who makes his directorial debut with the feature film. Creed faces perhaps his toughest challenge yet when he gets into the ring with a new foe played by Jonathan Majors (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania), though the new poster seems to show a moment in the battle where Creed has the upper hand....
MTV is bringing back one of its most iconic shows just over 20 years after the seminal series launched on the channel. Cribs first aired on MTV in September 2000, and has run for more than 100 episodes across many formats. The series was a regular crowd pleaser on MTV’s main channel for many years, had a reboot and spin-off series’ in the 2010s, and then even had a stint as a short-form series on Snapchat and a global format in the UK....
The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced nominations for the inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011. ABC was the most nominated broadcast network with 16 nominations, followed closely by NBC with 12. AMC and FX led nominations for cable networks, with nine each....

Co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn has offered further insight into his and Peter Safran’s approach to recalibrating the DCU, revealing that the franchise could include both PG-13 and R-rated projects. As detailed by DC.com, Gunn will aim to do whatever best suits the story and its characters, meaning that things could get bloody should the situation need it. This would not be the first time James Gunn has brought more mature elements to the world of DC, with the director helming the first R-rated project in the DCEU with The Suicide Squad in 2021....

Dimension Films has acquired rights to Stephen King’s latest novel Cell and has set Hostel helmer Eli Roth to direct it, says Variety. King’s novel is a throwback to his early apocalyptic horror novels. In a single moment, a pulse sent out through cell phones around the world turns every phone user into a crazed, murderous zombie. Mike Fleiss and Chris Briggs, who with Roth produced Hostel and are readying the sequel, will produce Cell....
Emile Hirsch, star of the upcoming Speed Racer movie, to be directed by the Wachoski Brothers (The Matrix), discussed what it was like recreating the classic cartoon series in an interview with MTV News.
