The force is strong with these animated ones… Family Guy: Blue Harvest, a send-up of the Star Wars franchise, was the top DVD seller in the week ending January 20. The 48-minute special held off a few new theatrical contenders as well. Good Luck Chuck performed quite strongly, despite a chilly $34.9 million theatrical box office reception. The Dane Cook/Jessica Alba comedy took a close second place in sales and took the top rental spot for the week, earning an estimated $11....

As an American actor, Ralph Macchio is an anomaly. His skill as an actor is proficient enough to lead any film, but, nowadays, he’s rarely front and center. If he is, the film most likely isn’t a major motion picture. Macchio doesn’t have the bonafide charisma of Keanu Reeves, yet one could argue that he’s every bit a natural treasure. There may be other actors with bigger and better credits on their names, but every movie this legendary actor is in is made better by his presence....

It looks like the upcoming fifth season of AMC’s hit The Walking Dead spin-off Fear the Walking Dead will be hitting the network on Sunday, June 2nd. Now that the anticipated return of Frasier has been officially confirmed, details on what audiences can expect are beginning to emerge. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Kelsey Grammer, who will reprise the titular character in the upcoming revival, discussed how the series will deal with the loss of one of its main characters. John Mahoney, who played the beloved Crane family patriarch during the original’s 11 season run on NBC, passed away in 2018 following a battle with cancer....

Visionary filmmaker Terry Gilliam’s new film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus hit theaters in on December 25, although it was only a limited release. If you don’t live in one of those select markets where the film is currently playing and still want to see the film, then you can do so this weekend. Sony is expanding The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus to a nationwide release starting on Friday, January 8 and we have the full list of theaters that will be putting this new film on display....

Fargo season 5 is officially happening, with creator Noah Hawley returning to write. More than a year after Season 4 concluded, FX has picked up Fargo for a fifth season that asks the questions, “When is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?” Fargo is set in the same universe as the Coen brothers’ 1996 black comedy film of the same name. Created by Noah Hawley (Legion, The Unusuals), Fargo premiered on FX in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim, with many even declaring it better than the iconic Coen brothers’ film....

We left off in a pretty intense place and it looks like we’re about to see another battle in the penultimate episode....

The online petition for HBO to completely remake the final season of Game of Thrones continues to grow, now garnering well over one million signatures. While one look at social media can give you a clue as to just how many people are unhappy with Season 8, seeing so many names on the petition indicates the gargantuan number of people walking away unsatisfied with the show’s curtain call. As of this writing, over 1,200,000 people have signed the petition, and the number continues to rise as the petition draws closer to its goal of 1,500,000 signatures....

Chris Hansen is once again asking alleged sexual predators to sit down and have a chat, this time for his new YouTube series Have a Seat with Chris Hansen. An investigative journalist perhaps best known for his work with Dateline NBC, Hansen served as the host of the popular To Catch a Predator shows. Working with law enforcement and volunteer groups, Hansen would set up “sting houses” where men would show up to meet with someone they allegedly believed to be a minor....

Star Wars is famous for its courageous tales of young, gifted Jedi overcoming struggle and temptation in order to bring balance to the Force. But is balance what we have in the tales themselves? Everyone enjoys the story of a few plucky young rebels going against the odds to defeat a massive empire. But over the years, we’ve seen this arc done at least twice across six movies. And if we’re looking for a tale about the dark side, the prequels leave something to be desired....

We reported back in October that a Hitman sequel was moving forward but it wasn’t quite clear if the film’s star will return. Now Deadline New York is reporting that it still isn’t clear if Timothy Olyphant will return for Hitman 2, but Fox has set Daniel Benmayor to direct the film. Benmayor, who recently made his feature directorial debut with Paintball after directing commercials, is on board and it was said that Fox is gearing towards a fall start date for the film....

Previous footage from Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 teased Danny Rand’s iconic yellow mask, and now we have a brand-new trailer that features Rand and Steel Serpent engaged in a heavy battle. The first season of the show was not well-received by critics or fans, but the new season already seems a lot better, and that’s just based on the promotional material for the show that has been released thus far....

Dead Meat is a YouTube channel that provides an in-depth look at horror movies in various formats, ranging from YouTube videos to podcasts. Founded in 2017, Dead Meat’s president and executive producer is James A. Janisse, aka Dead Meat James, though he co-owns it alongside his wife, Chelsea Rebecca.
