While The Batman may have coined the term “vengeance” to characterize the true dark side of the vigilante, Black Adam demonstrated that instead of a hero, people need a merciless guardian who can crush the enemies aiming to take over Kahndaq. Despite James Gunn’s recent revocation of Henry Cavil’s role as Superman and the cancelation of many DC films, the forthcoming year still appears to be rather promising, with four officially announced films and an intriguing television renewal....

That’s a wrap on Enola Holmes 2. Netflix has announced that filming has now been completed on the upcoming sequel with a video posted to Twitter from the set featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ESPN Hollywood, the sports giant’s attempt to bridge the gap between the sports world and Hollywood, has been canceled. The half-hour show was hosted by former Cold Pizza co-host Thea Andrews and former Saved by the Bell co-star Mario Lopez. It was recorded every weekday afternoon from ESPN’s studios at KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, then broadcast at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The last show will air January 26....

Could the canceled Marvel Netflix shows eventually find a new home on Hulu? It’s possible down the line. Netflix has made it clear that they’re getting out of the business of hanging out with the street level Marvel heroes of Hell’s Kitchen last year after canceling Iron Fist, Luke Cage and, most surprisingly, Daredevil. The fates of The Punisher and Jessica Jones still hang in the balance, but the writing’s on the wall....

The new Criminal Minds series has its official title: Criminal Minds: Evolution. Variety reports that the title reveal comes with the addition of Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights, Midnight Mass) to the cast as a recurring guest star. Gilford will reportedly be playing Elias Voit, an “operations analyst for a global cyber-security firm who has a dark side and an obsession with death.” The reboot series premieres this fall on Paramount+....

Danny De Vito and Katey Sagal have signed on to star in the new indie comedy No Place Like Home written and directed by Sam Harper and produced by Wayne Rice of Dude, Where’s My Car? fame. While the film goes into production this month for the next 12 weeks, it will get an immediate marketing push via its other producer Jordan Hudgens of the new video sharing syndicate Vidshadow.com. Netflix has canceled Marvel’s Daredevil after three seasons. The news follows the recent cancellations of Iron Fist and Luke Cage by the streaming platform, but this one is more than likely even more of a stinger for Marvel fans, who have embraced Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock on the hit series since its debut in 2015. Season 3 of Daredevil just premiered to positive reviews from fans and critics, just like the previous two seasons, but it is believed that viewership has continued to decline, which may or may not have been the deciding factor for the cancellation....

More than two years after season two concluded, Dead to Me is finally returning to Netflix for its third and final season. On Saturday, during Netflix’s Tudum global fan event, the streamer released a trailer and announced the series will return on November 17.
