Reboots of long-standing popular franchises have always been a touchy subject, especially around the iconic character of Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones. Before Ford’s return for the yet-to-be-titled Indiana Jones 5, there were rumors that a franchise reboot was being considered, with a new actor taking on the role of the adventuring archeology professor. Those rumors resurfaced early in 2021, and included one centering star of the moment Chris Pratt in the running for the role if Lucasfilm decided to restart the franchise after Harrison Ford’s final bow....

Of the several shows that formed the Marvel Television Universe, Daredevil was an instant fan-favorite and when the Netflix based series was canceled, it sparked a host of “Save Daredevil” online campaigns. After a short while, those campaigns lost momentum and although Marvel fans still expressed their wish to see Charlie Cox continuing his Daredevil role in future, it looked like it was the end of the road for the blind superhero in that format....

Director David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers, Fred Claus) has replaced Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) as director of The Flash. MTV News spoke with Dobkin about the upcoming film, and he revealed some interesting tidbits, both about The Flash and about Justice League of America. Dobkin’s film will be a direct spin-off of Justice League of America, of which The Flash is supposed to be a major part. This means that Dobkin is waiting for the announcement as to who is playing The Flash in George Miller’s film with the same anticipation as the fans....

The DC Universe is full of interesting characters, both in comics and cinema, that are captivating and exciting to watch. They have heroes and villains with tragic backstories, blurred and ambiguous moralities, and some characters that are evil simply because they can be. There’s a wide range of stories to be interested in with diverse sets of characters. DC truly does have something for everyone, whether you’re a fan of live-action stories or animated tv shows....

Sad news for mystery and sci-fi fans looking for their weekly dose of drama, but Debris has been canceled by NBC. The drama series debuted on the network back in March and only recently wrapped up its first season. But that season 1 finale is now going to serve as the series finale as NBC has opted not to move forward with the show. For the time being, it does not appear that the series will look to find another home, as has been the case with quite a few other shows that got the axe in recent years....

Doctor Strange’s relationship with Spider-Man has come full circle. In Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2, released in theaters in 2004, J. Jonah Jameson (J. K. Simmons) is speaking with Hoffman (Ted Raimi) while brainstorming ideas for what to call Doctor Octopus. At one point, Hoffman suggests the name of “Doctor Strange,” to which Jameson replies, “That’s pretty good, but it’s taken!” At the time, this was probably just a way of Raimi acknowledging the Doctor Strange character, unaware that he’d one day be directing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness....

Everyone’s favorite murderous doll is coming back and here are some updates on the new version of Chucky. Ain’t It Cool News recently spoke to Child’s Play creator Don Mancini and producer David Kirschner about the remake of the film, which Mancini will write and direct. “I think what we are mainly responding to, David and I, is the will of the fans, which is really telling us that they want to see a scary Chucky movie again....

Avatar: The Way of Water is a monumental project that required a lot of work in many different areas, including costume design. While costumes might not be the first thing that catches the eye among the dizzying array of strange plants, alien creatures, and sci-fi tech in the film, it’s still a crucial aspect of the world of Pandora. The cast of Euphoria says Tom Holland should appear as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the HBO series. With Spider-Man taking a little of a break, could we see Tom Holland join Zendaya aka his girlfriend on the hit show? Although it seems like a long shot for this to work out, the cast of Euphoria thinks that Holland should appear as Spider-Man in the HBO series. East Highland High School has a lot of things going on for sure, but would Spider-Man actually be able to attend?...

Martin McDonagh is a British-Irish playwright, screenwriter, and director. McDonagh began his career in playwriting in 2003 with the play Pillowman. He went on to write several plays and wound up being nominated for four Tony Awards and five Laurence Olivier Awards, of which he won three. McDonagh broke out into directing in 2008 with his first feature-length film In Bruges before branching out and directing numerous dark comedies, several of which featured actors Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson....

Fanboys and neophytes alike, I saw a lot of cool footage at Comic Con today, but the new scenes from The Incredible Hulk were freaking awesome. I’m all geeked out here. Tim Roth is going to crush it utterly as the villainous Emile Blonsky aka THE ABOMINATION. The Universal folks have kept his character under wraps, so no one really had any clue what he was all about.
