The Good A fun film that really focused on what it did have vs. what it didn’t. The Bad I really wish that Ron Howard would have done a commentary track for this movie. Eat My Dust is all about a guy named Hoover Niebold (Ron Howard). Hoover likes a girl named Darlene (Christopher Norris) and he will do anything to get her to fancy him. She likes fast cars and when Hoover procures one he and her find themselves getting into all kinds of trouble....

Michael Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes has mastered the art of remaking contemporary classic horror films into modern blockbusters for the next generation. Beginning in 2003 with their re-imagining of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the company has continued to make one hit after another out of contemporary horror classics including The Amityville Horror, The Hitcher and Friday the 13th. So of course it was only a matter of time before Platinum Dunes would decide to take a stroll down Elm Street and resurrect one of the most famous movie villains of all time … Freddy Krueger, in A Nightmare On Elm Street, opening April 30th....

Actor Kelsey Grammer has shared a promising update regarding his planned revival of the beloved sitcom Frasier, stating that the series could begin filming later this year. During a recent appearance on The Talk, Grammer assured fans of the blustery psychiatrist that the Frasier revival is still moving ahead and that the latest look into the life of Frasier Crane is gearing up to go before cameras soon. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is the next classic sitcom to get the reboot treatment, as a darker adaptation of the comedy series is in the works. Reportedly, the new series is directly inspired by the viral Bel-Air concept trailer that was released online in March 2019 by filmmaker and Fresh Prince fan Morgan Cooper. The project has also reportedly been in development for over a year, with original star Will Smith teaming up with Cooper to create the full series adaptation....

No one can deny that movie musicals have grown popular at an exponential rate over the past two decades, engaging audiences much better than many other genres. Among the movie musical classics is Chicago, Rob Marshall’s 2002 production based on the 1970s play, which is widely considered to be one of the best 21st-Century musicals. With an all-star cast led by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renée Zellweger, and Richard Gere, all great actors whose careers have gone on to success, Chicago was triumphant in several ways, not the least of which is that it successfully captured all the best features of the musical when adapting it to the silver screen, which is not always the case with film adaptations....

Chris Moynihan is working on a pair of projects for NBC, including a comedy based on the life of magician Criss Angel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Angel project is based on an original idea that the Mindfreak magician conceived along with producers Dave Baram, Jason Verona and Adam Shulman. Moynihan has joined in to write the project, which was inspired by Angel’s experience as an up-and-coming magician. All four are aboard to exec produce the half-hour, which was pitched as a workplace comedy set in the world of magic....

Clifford is kicking up his paws and sticking around for a while. After the success of Clifford the Big Red Dog recently premiering in theaters and on Paramount+, Paramount Pictures has announced that a sequel is officially in the works. This follows a 5-day opening that brought in $22.2 million with many more tuning in at home to watch the family comedy, its current haul up to $34.5 million. All things considered, the studio is very happy with the results....
