Recently MovieWeb had the opportunity to sit down with director Amir Bar-Lev to discuss his film My Kid Could Paint That. This movie comes to theaters in limited release on October 5 from Sony Pictures Classics. A documentary about Marla Olmstead, a 4-year old girl who has sold over $300,000 dollars worth of paintings. She has been called “a budding Picasso” and had been featured on several American news programs. The situation was looking bright for the girl and her family until CBS’ 60 Minutes aired an expose suggesting strongly that the paintings were painted by her father, himself an amateur painter....

Filmgoers are gearing up for the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in April, and the new official IMAX motion art has just arrived. Encouraging viewers to “experience the magic in IMAX,” the artwork takes the previously released IMAX poster and livens it up with some animation and teases that the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will be a major setting in the sequel. The CW’s Charmed reboot series has been forced to suspend production after a positive COVID-19 test. Work was halted earlier today after a person on the set tested positive. The network is now following safety protocols and conducting contact tracing, according to sources. The series, which films in Vancouver, Canada had to shut down production last month too, due to a delay in test results for several cast and crew members....

Christopher Meloni will soon be back as Elliot Stabler on a full-time basis as he has officially started working on Law & Order: Organized Crime. A spinoff of Law & Order: SVU, the new series will follow Stabler pursuing a new kind of criminal after returning to the NYPD. Taking to Instagram this week, Meloni revealed that production on Organized Crime has started with an image of himself peeking out from behind the door of Stabler’s office....
