Walt Disney Animation Studio’s has produced 60 films over the years, from their first full-length feature in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to their newest and Oscar-nominated film Encanto, which was released this past November. Depending on the time the movie was released, Disney has classified their movies into a specific era: The Golden Age (1937-1942), The Wartime Era (1943-1949), The Silver Age (1950-1967), The Bronze Age (1970-1988), The Disney Renaissance (1989-1999), Post Renaissance Era (2000-2009), and The Revival Era (2010-Present)....

It appears at long last the search to find a director for Fantastic Four has finally ended. Originally set to be directed by the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts, the filmmaker departed the project in April 2022. In July 2022 at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios officially dated Fantastic Four for release on November 8, 2024, and it would kick off Phase 6 of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga. The search was a long one, and it appears the studio has finally found a director: Matt Shakman....

The Good Made for a very small amount of money, this is the kind of movie that becomes a cult hit. The Bad Some of the acting in this film was a little below par. Feast should be a lesson to New Line about how you make a schlock film. First of all, the Weinstein Co. (which funded this Project Greenlight Affair) spent somewhere around $2 to $3 million dollars. Unlike New Line, which spent $33 for Snakes on a Plane, and attempted to artificially create a buzz by claiming that there was a buzz that didn’t exist....

See How They Run, a murder mystery set during a Hollywood film production, just released new images from the upcoming movie. The film has an ensemble cast, including Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell, and Adrien Brody. The latest photos can be seen below. Four studios have announced slates of titles to be ready for the soon-to-be-launched Blu-ray Disc high-definition format. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and Lionsgate (formerly Lions Gate), all of which have lent their support exclusively to Blu-ray, announced their plans Tuesday, a day before supporters of the next-generation, high-definition optical disc format stage a formal unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment, which has said it would support both Blu-ray and format competitor HD-DVD with disc releases, also unveiled titles it will have ready for both formats at launch....

The holidays are definitely “fuller” with family and the new year is about to shine a little brighter as Fuller House will return for a third season in 2017. BlackFilm.com has confirmed that Gabrielle Union is set to play opposite Jeffrey Wright in Cadillac Records. With Wright set to play Muddy Waters, Gabrielle Union will play his girlfriend Geneva Wade. According to the book “Can’t Be Satisfied: The Life and Times of Muddy Waters” by Robert Gordon, Geneva Wade was Muddy Waters’ girlfriend in the late 1940s. She would later become Geneva Morganfield, Muddy’s wife. Muddy’s real name was McKinley Morganfield....

Shortly after news that the Game of Thrones prequel was canceled, HBO has confirmed the next Game of Thrones spin-off, revealing a poster and some information for another upcoming prequel series. Called House of the Dragon, the spin-off is co-created by novel series author George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal. Previously, Martin and Condal had been reported to be developing a prequel series for Game of Thrones, though the deal had not yet been finalized....

My Spy 2 is happening sooner than expected. Months after a sequel for the film was confirmed, Dave Baustista revealed that he’ll be working on My Spy Sequel next. Bautista is set to reprise his role and will reunite with Chloe Coleman, director Paul Segal and writer Eric and John Hoeber. While the actor is promoting his film Knock at the Cabin, Dave Bautista confirmed to Collider that they will be filming My Spy 2 later next month....

David Arquette (Scream) will be making the trip to Camden County when he plays a hapless amateur stuntman in an upcoming episode of NBC’s My Name Is Earl. The casting announcement was confirmed today by show creator and executive producer Greg Garcia. In the episode, scheduled to air this fall, Earl decides it’s time to make it up to local stunt man, Sweet Johnny (guest-star David Arquette, Scream) for sleeping with his girlfriend 10-years-ago....
