You can bring home the latest season of a hit NBC football show this May. Friday Night Lights: The Complete Third Season will be released on DVD on May 19th. The four-disc set will be priced at $29.98 SRP and you can take a look at the cover art below, but no special features have been announced as of yet. The series stars Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton. One of the most compelling, heartfelt and intense TV series of all time - Friday Night Lights - returns to more acclaim with 13 groundbreaking Season Three episodes....

In a minute-long trailer, Disney+ has showcased its summer 2021 line-up featuring both original and classic movies and TV shows. Some titles will be “new to Disney+” i.e. Disney-owned older films making their debut on the streaming service. There is no shortage of original content though, starting from June 4, Disney plans to release one or more original movies and/or TV series every week. Theatrical films like Black Widow and Jungle Cruise will only be available to watch if you pay an extra $30 “Premier Access” fee....

According to Variety, FX has bought the cable TV rights to Superman Returns six months in advance of its June 30 theatrical premiere. The network has agreed to pay Warner Bros. Domestic Cable about 12% of the eventual domestic gross, with a cap at between $17 million and $25 million, depending on the contract’s length of term and on whether Warner finds another buyer to share the window with FX. Cabler gets the first burst of Superman runs in its TV premiere early in 2009....

FX has ordered a fourth installment of American Horror Story, the Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning miniseries franchise from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, it was announced today by John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks and FX Productions. The network has ordered 13 episodes from Twentieth Century Fox Television. Here’s what John Landgraf had to say about the series in a statement. Of the first three installments of American Horror Story, Coven has far surpassed the ratings of its predecessors, Murder House (2011) and Asylum (2012)....

Fans will be able to catch Chris Rock live and uncensored on Netflix in March 2023. It was recently announced that Rock would be hosting a live stand-up comedy special on Netflix sometime next year, marking the first live broadcast from the streamer. A new video announcement has Rock revealing that the special, Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, has been scheduled for March 4, 2023, almost a year to the day after Rock was smacked at the Oscars by Will Smith on March 27 at 10 PM ET/7PM PT....

HBO Max has unveiled the trailer for Close Enough, a new animated series from Regular Show creator, JG Quintel. It’s a surreal take on transitioning from 20-something to 30-something centering on a married couple juggling such everyday challenges as parenthood, friendship, ham theft, stripper clowns and choosing the right day care. From JG Quintel, creator of the Emmy Award-winning Regular Show comes Close Enough, a surreal animated comedy about a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles....

TBS’s late-night show Conan will be heading to San Diego July 8-12, 2015 for a week of shows during Comic-Con International. This marks the first time a late-night show has broadcast from San Diego during the wildly successful event. Conan will broadcast a week of shows from the historic Spreckels Theater in downtown San Diego. Conan airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. The series, which earned an Emmy(R) for its innovative mobile app, is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as executive producer....

The Ghostface saga will continue with Scream 6 (or is it Scream 2?) officially moving forward, and at least one legacy cast member will return once again. Courteney Cox has officially confirmed that she will be back as Gale in the upcoming sequel on an episode of the Just for Variety podcast. The actress also says she’s been sent the script, and though she hasn’t yet read it, she says she’s “excited” to get going....

NBC has signed a series deal with mystifier/artist Criss Angel (Criss Angel Mindfreak) and famed mentalist Uri Geller for Phenomenon (working title) – a mysterious live competition series in which both men will conduct an intensive search for the next great mentalist. The announcement was made today by Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. “The match-up of two world-famous personalities, Uri Geller and Criss Angel – who have demonstrated astounding skills – makes for a riveting series format,” said Silverman....

Divergent was a movie adaptation of a YA novel trilogy of the same name. The series focused Tris Prior, played by Shailene Woodley, a teenage girl trying to determine which faction she best fits into. However, the story would eventually go beyond Tris’ struggles to secure a spot in Dauntless. Her identity as a Divergent becomes a crucial part of the danger surrounding her life. The corrupt government was on the way to ruining the world’s society, or what was left of it anyway....

BBC America has the first trailer for the upcoming 12th season of their hit long-running sci-fi series Doctor Who. Jodie Whittaker is back for the second time as the thirteenth doctor. In the trailer, we get a peek at the return of the Cybermen, along with some time traveling alien action. For some fans, season 11 wasn’t one of the best for a variety of reasons, but there were mainly some complaints about the writing....

Syfy announces additional casting for its upcoming supernatural drama pilot, Dominion with the signings of Anthony Head, Roxanne McKee, Luke Allen-Gale and guest star Shivani Ghai. Produced by Universal Cable Productions, the pilot is set to begin shooting this month in Cape Town, South Africa. Based on characters from the hit theatrical film Legion (2010), Dominion is an epic supernatural action drama set 25 years after the events of the movie and picking up in the aftermath of a catastrophic war between an army of angels and mankind that has transformed the world....

The upcoming comedy Little Fockers is gearing up for some re-shoots which will include Dustin Hoffman, reprising his role from Meet the Fockers, Bernie Focker. Deadline New York has the news on the reshoots, which will take place in September. The site is reporting that Dustin Hoffman was originally set to appear in Little Fockers, but was written out of the sequel when a deal couldn’t be reached. Now, with reshoots happening, producers Jay Roach and John Hamburg were able to convince Dustin Hoffman to join the film, even though they are going to pay him what he would have originally earned to appear in the entire film....

When American Horror Story wrapped up Season 1 last year, fans were shocked to learn that the series is actually a horror anthology, with each season taking place in a different locale. While Golden Globe winner Jessica Lange and others from Season 1 return in American Horror Story: Asylum, they all play completely different characters. Last week’s episode, “The Coat Hanger”, featured the return of Dylan McDermott as Johnny Thredson, a violent serial killer who finds himself at the Briarcliff asylum in a multi-episode arc....
