Marvel Studios is being sued by Grammy-award winning recording artists The Foo Fighters over the music being used in television trailers for the upcoming animated Wolverine & the X-Men. According to Entertainment News International, the Foo Fighters claim that the music used in the trailer takes excerpts from their songs Best of You and Free Me. The lawsuit was filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. The musicians are seeking unspecified damages, attorneys’ fees and an injunction preventing Marvel from using their music in the future....

I sat down to watch the Southland Tales clip with it’s director R. Kelly in tow. But it just wasn’t happening. The DVD player wouldn’t read the Southland Tales disc and the crowd was getting quite upset and unruly. The thing would start, and then stop, and the jerks in attendance would mock applaud as if to say, “Way to go, Douche bags.” It was kind of funny and reflective of the way things have been going for this film....

Actor and now director Michael B. Jordan has been spotted hard at work on the set of his upcoming directorial debut, Creed 3. Courtesy of the Daily Mail, several photos of Jordan on set have now come to light, with the actor due to step behind the camera as well as stepping back into the ring as main character Adonis Creed in this sequel to the Rocky spin-off. Michael B. Jordan first appeared on the big screen as the lead of Creed back in 2015, with the first Creed introducing us to the son of Rocky’s opponent-turned-friend Apollo Creed....

The Disney Channel has just signed the rock act Imagination Movers to start their own series. According to Variety, the New Orleans-based group that calls itself “the world’s first alternative rock band for preschoolers.” The Disney Channel will premiere three new music videos from the group starting Saturday, March 8th. Walt Disney Records will release of the Imagination Movers album Juicebox Heroes on March 18th. The album contains tracks from the group’s first three independently-released albums, which will be featured on the show....

BET Networks and Marvel Animation are pleased to announce that the iconic Marvel Super Hero The Black Pantherwill be voiced by Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou. The animated series based on the legendary Super Hero is slated to premiere in 2009. The series will be adapted directly from the first six issues of the Marvel Comic written by Reginald Hudlin (issues #1 - #6, “Who Is The Black Panther”). “BET is thrilled to have Djimon Hounsou join us as the voice of The Black Panther,” said Denys Cowan, Senior Vice President, Animation for BET Networks....

Production on Doctor Who season 13 is now officially underway. With Jodie Whittaker once again reprising her role as the Doctor, fans can look forward to seeing her go on adventures once again as she fights the good fight across space and time. BBC America made the announcement today, while also teasing the Revolution of the Daleks special that will air this holiday season. Head of Weta Digital Richard Taylor made the press rounds this week to discuss the upcoming Blu-ray release Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy, which will hit store shelves on April 6th in a brand new 9-disc collection. In a recent interview with MTV, Taylor revealed that he is in the midst of creating new armor for the upcoming Guillermo del Toro prequel The Hobbit. Emmy Rossum is the latest actress to join the cast of Dragon Ball Z. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rossum has been added to the cast list which already includes Justin Chatwin, James Marsters and Jamie Chung. Additionally, Eriko Tamura (Heroes) has joined the cast as Mai, and newcomer Joon Park will be taking the role of Yamcha. Rossum is most well known for her starring role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, and has also appeared in Poseidon and The Day After Tomorrow....

There’s no denying that one of the biggest movie franchises out there is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ever since the first MCU movie came out in 2008, bringing popular Marvel superheroes to life on the big screen, it’s been a roaring success. Even over a decade later, it’s still going strong and has plans to continue into the future with Marvel Phase 5 and 6. As long as they have an audience, which seems likely given its popularity, and material to turn into movies, of which there is a lot they have yet to touch, then they should be able to continue for a long time to come....
