Director Luis Téllez is currently in the middle of production on his new movie Inzomnia, which is set to make history as the first stop-motion animated movie to be filmed completely in Mexico. Set in a dystopian world, the movie tells the story of a city whose rulers have created the Inzomnia pill, which is forcefully given to each citizen and, as a result, negates their need for sleep. Over time, the citizens begin to lose their memory, effectively becoming hollow versions of themselves....

Chris Carter, the creator of The X-Files has been very private about his latest film project, Fencewalker, quietly shooting in the Los Angeles area as well as Carter’s hometown of Bellflower. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carter is in the midst of directing the dark drama starring several up-and-comers, including The Tudors star Natalie Dormer; David Cassidy’s daughter, Katie Cassidy; rapper-turned-actor Xzibit; and Derek Magyar and Meckah Brooks. Neither Carter’s reps at ICM nor the actors’ reps would confirm that the film is shooting, but the story is essentially a coming-of-age semiautobiographical character piece with no supernatural elements....

Composer Hans Zimmer has won his second career Oscar for Best Original Score at the 94th annual Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, for Dune. That means he waited longer to win his second career Oscar than any other composer in history, 27 years. Presenting the Original Score Oscar to Zimmer were Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin (it was actually one of the pre-show categories taped in the hour before the telecast, but ran during the live show to a five-minute ovation from the audience)....

Doctor Strange has been an important presence in the MCU. He aided the Avengers during Infinity War and Endgame, then enabled the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Dune’s David Dastmalchian has been cast to lead the upcoming indie horror film Late Night With the Devil, Variety reports. The film takes place in 1977 and the actor plays a late-night talk show host whose show goes horribly wrong, and unleashes evil into viewers’ homes. Late Night With the Devil is directed by Colin and Cameron Cairnes, the Australian writing and directing team behind Australian horror films 100 Bloody Acres and Scare Campaign....
