It says a lot about the machinations of culture that there was so much anticipation for That ’90s Show, considering that the previous That ’70s Show spin-off, That ’80s Show, was a single-season flop. That’s because the 2020s are a great time for nostalgia, especially ’90s nostalgia. The demographic who grew up loving That ’70s Show likely had no nostalgia for the ’80s, leading to the failure of That ’80s Show....

The Navy’s TOPGUN flight school, which trains fighter pilots, was the focus of the first Top Gun movie. Along with co-stars Anthony Edwards as Maverick’s right-hand man, Goose, and Val Kilmer as Iceman, Tom Cruise portrays the impulsive adrenaline junkie Pete Mitchell, a.k.a. Maverick. Action, plane stunts, tragedy, and well-known songs — including “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins — were all featured in this action-packed movie. 20th Century Fox has provided us with the final one-sheet poster for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, arriving in theatres on June 15. Fox is developing Georgia and the Seven Associates, a contemporary take on Walt Disney’s classic tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from producers Chris Brancato and Bert Salke, feature writers David Weissman and David Diamond and director Ken Kwapis. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hourlong dramedy will be produced by ABC Studios, and is tonally described as The Devil Wears Prada meets Taxi set in Los Angeles’ legal circles....

Danielle Panabaker has been cast as the female lead in the new Untitled Friday the 13th Origin Film, which Marcus Nispel is directing for Platinum Dunes. The horror flick is a negative pickup for New Line, according to The Hollywood Repoter. Also joining the cast like lambs to the slaughter are Jonathan Sadowski, Travis van Winkle and Aaron Yoo. Danny Trejo and Joel McHale is set to star in the film Tim Travers & The Time Traveler’s Paradox. Deadline reports that the filming for the movie wrapped up earlier last month in Spokane, Washington. The pair has been revealed as the key supporting cast members in Stimson Snead’s sci-fi comedy film. Veteran actor Danny Trejo will be celebrating the holidays this year in a special way.
