Chris Messina is in negotiations to star opposite Amy Adams and Meryl Streep in Nora Ephron’s comedy Julie & Julia for Columbia. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Messina is in line to play the husband of Adams’ title character, a depressed government worker trying to add spice to her marriage and life by making every recipe in Julia Child’s book “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” Streep plays the famed cookbook author in a parallel post-World War II story line....

In a story from Variety, Paramount Pictures is currently talking with Chris Pine about playing CIA analyst Jack Ryan in a redux of the franchise that is based on the Tom Clancy novels. This will be Pine’s second Paramount franchise. He was James T. Kirk in Star Trek and he will play the role again in Star Trek 2. Even though the talks have just started, Pine should be joining the Jack Ryan film as the project gets developed....

Sir Christopher Lee is an interesting person with an even more fascinating life. The actor started off his career following his contributions to the Second World War by joining the Royal Air Force and then, the RAF intelligence. He is also someone who witnessed the last public execution by the Guillotine, and met two of Rasputin’s assassins. Interestingly, unlike most actors, acting was not Lee’s dream job, and he ended up in the world of cinema simply because of a relative’s suggestion....
