A new children’s book co-authored by Elizabeth Olsen will soon be hitting store shelves. Called Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective, the book is written by Olsen and husband Robbie Arnett with illustrations by Marissa Valdez. Aimed at children in the 4-8 year old range, the book will be released on June 28, 2022. The authors can be seen celebrating the upcoming release in the Instagram video below. The release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife in theaters has Ernie Hudson reflecting on the decades he’s spent as a part of the franchise. For every Ghostbusters fan, there has always been four members of the team, but you wouldn’t quite know that from the way the first Ghostbuster movie was marketed in the 1980s. Different posters and VHS cover art would depict only Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis busting ghosts with their proton packs, almost as if Ernie Hudson’s Winston didn’t exist....

Just in time for the holidays, The Noel Diary hits Netflix on November 24. Featuring some familiar faces, such as This Is Us star Justin Hartley, the Christmas-themed drama is helmed by Father of the Bride director Charles Shyer. Given his past filmography, The Noel Diary is certainly a fitting entry to his line of work. The storyline of this emotionally charged film follows best-selling author Jake Turner (Hartley) as he returns home at Christmas to settle his estranged mother’s estate....

Solar Opposites follows a group of aliens who have crash-landed atop a decent suburban home on Earth after their planet Shlorp was destroyed by an asteroid. These four Shlorpians are just doing the best they can in a pickle, raising a cute little planet-devouring slug (the Pupa) who will eventually terraform Earth, killing all humans and recreating Shlorp; in the meantime, boy do these rascals get into some wacky shenanigans....

Peter Pan leaves a trail of generational struggle in The Lost Girls. Wendy’s (Livia De Paolis) grandmother (Vanessa Redgrave), mother (Joely Richardson), and herself have all experienced Neverland and are challenged by the hold Peter has on them. He desperately wants them to never grow up. As Wendy’s daughter Berry (Ella-Rae Smith) begins her descent into Peter’s grip, we see her fight to save their relationship. Rounding out the cast are Julian Ovenden, Parker Sawyers, Emily Carey, Louis Partridge, and Iain Glen....

20th Century Fox has released the trailer for Family Guy’s long-awaited Return of the Jedi parody titled Family Guy: It’s A Trap, which will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on December 21. We haven’t heard much about Todd Phillips’ secretive new film project since it was announced back in April and now some new details on both the cast and storyline have been revealed. Variety is reporting that young actors such as Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor and Alexis Knapp signed on to Project X. Plot details have been kept under tight wraps thus far, but the site is now reporting that the film revolves around a group of kids who are trying to document a house party, when things start to go bad....

Clash of the Titans is shaping up to be one of the most exciting remakes of 2010. The film is looking better and better with each new image that comes forth, and it seems to be upholding the concept of the original quite well. A group of former female staffers spoke anonymously to Business Insider in a brand-new expose about a workplace culture at SNL that enabled an environment that was routinely uncomfortable, incredibly sexist, and at times unsafe. The staffers, who feared reporting incidents to HR out of fear of consequences, worked at the long-running sketch comedy show from the 1990s to the mid-aught season. According to the women, the widespread culture went unchecked because there was an implicit understanding there would be nowhere to turn....

Justin Bartha, Melanie Laurent, Billy Boyd and Jessica Pare are set to star in the English-and-French-language romantic comedy Shoe at Your Foot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Bartha will play Jack, an American who wins a vacation for two to Paris but gets dumped by his girlfriend (Pare) just before the trip. He decides to go by himself, only to find that his luggage has been swapped with the identical bag of French businesswoman Chloe (Laurent)....

Michael Douglas’ Further Films is developing We Have Always Lived in the Castle, Shirley Jackson’s 1962 novel about a reclusive, potentially murderous family. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Kruger has penned a draft of the screenplay. Producers are out to cast. We Have Always Lived in the Castle revolves around the Blackwood family – primarily of sisters Merricat and Connie and their uncle Julian – who have been forced into seclusion after the mysterious lethal poisoning of several of their family members six years earlier....

Back in July, we reported that FX is bringing Powers back to life, reworking the original pilot that the network passed on in 2011, based on the comic book series by Brian Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. FX president John Landgraf revealed at the TCA winter press tour that the show is still in active development. The original pilot starred Jason Patric as Detective Christian Walker and Lucy Punch as Detective Deena Pilgrim, who solve crimes created by those with super-human abilities, in a world where “powers” are commonplace....

Robert Duvall has always been one of my favorite actors and filmmakers. I loved him in films like the “Godfather” series, “Apocalypse Now” and “MASH,” but it was his role in “Tender Mercies,” playing an alcoholic country music singer looking for redemption that won him his Oscar and showed the world that there was a vulnerable side to the macho actor. Duvall went on to be nominated again years later for his mind-blowing performance as a preacher looking for redemption in “The Apostle,” a film that he also wrote and directed....

Crunchyroll (Spy x Family) has announced the official English dub voice cast for Chainsaw Man, the highly anticipated anime series produced by MAPPA (Maruyama Animation Produce Project Association, which will premiere on Crunchyroll simulcast from Japan on Tuesday, October 11th to over 200 countries and territories around the world. The anime will be released in Japanese and English subtitles and with an English dub, The Anime News Network also reports that Chainsaw Man will get Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German dubs....
